We were considering one - they are really cool! We have four 2-seater cars, and were looking for something "sensible" with 4 seats and good gas mileage for Lonnie's daily driver. The HHR Panel doesn't have a rear seat option - the back is all storage - so it would be another 2-seater. We did buy something "sensible" with a back seat though - a 65 Mustang!

Thumbs up

I wanted a panel also, but another 2 seater was not happening. We picked up an '06 that was still on the dealers lot.

Seriously thinking here too

I've been pondering the "practical" car issue myself. The HHR is leading the list right now, but I'd be going with the "normal" version, not the panel version. I'm finding a bunch of '06's still at local dealers through GMBUYPOWER. One of them is a "spring edition".

The '06s come with 2000 GM cash back, and I have over 1000 on my GM card already (that's since June of '05 when I bought my SSR!). What should I expect in a discount for a leftover 06?

Mrs. STEP ordered a white one, but I did not fit. My head was up against the sun roof. I had to recline the back of the seat to drive. Dealer tried to swap it out with a no-sun-roof, but none of the necessary options were available and I was still uncomforable especially in the passenger seat.

Leaning heavely.....

Burnt Orange.....yes......most all the bells and whistles........Then add a 50's & 60's Pro Hood Scoop......A mini "HHR" Wolfie Wing ........ a small chin spoiler.........and got to have a set of Wolfie Brake Scoops...........then top it off with a set of polished chrome Torq-Thrust wheels and a little larger tire on the rear. After that, "Wolfies Orange Crush Xpress" should be ready to roll.......Maybe a little tweeking under the hood...... This is how Baby Bear came into being.......So I must get started.....I'm late , I'm late , for a very important date.....Oh Me Oh My.......Hello, Good Bye.......I'm late, I'm late, I, late.......In other words...... Later, Wolfie

Hey Compodrae......It was calling me yesterday........But It doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Have to go to the Dr. again today ( 3rd time this week) I will stop by and see how serious they want to get........Cash back....cash off, Gm card at about 3k.......We will see what happens........Keep Rockin On, Wolfie

Ps: How bout a set of bucket seats like the front.....only in the back.......With the electric solenoid activated doors... The switches would be moved from the dash to each door and no pop buttons are needed as they already pop open at the touch of the switch......Hey we're talking Rod here.....W.W.

I haven't seen one in person yet, but maybe the box/bins are removable and could be replaced w/ some bucket seats? GM had to remove the bench seat to get the bins in there, so why not?

I see what you mean....but they made it just a 2 door, so that added a "little" work.

Looked it over, inside, outside, and under

Just got back from the Dr. (Got a real good report).....Spent a hour and a half at the dealer ship.....Inside, outside, under and under the hood.......The one they have is a LS base model.....Just a tad over 16K......Cash back as of now is $750.00 on the panel..so now..at under $16K....This one is going to up grade by the dealership.....Custom afte mkt. wheels and tires, plus some other things and a decal dressup........No telling where it will be then.......The one I want with all the bells and whistles..The LT......less all the discounts.....cash back and Gm card.....will put it at under 20K........Rock On, Wolfie

If it's for work or basic transportation...get the LS. If it's for fun...LT. Problem is.. where will the WW wing get mounted?
Congrats on the good report. Here's to a good Summer.
