I have not had time to check the veggie garden this weekend....I do know the last few nights were very cold. Hoping I can still pick some
Its been Raining for the last three days. Yesterday was a 66 Degree day all day long. Constant, Never changed. It was a nice day. Today it is colder. My Maters don't like this Colder Weather.

View from the patio today shows leaves are pretty much green still. But the chill and rain the last couple of days is like the warning of things to come.. We had such a wonderful summer here and hoping for a warm winter to match!
Almost at full color here I have a lot of tomatoes still and they are green....going to pick them this week. Once I do that I will put them in a paper bag (it turns them red)...works everytime I did get out there yesterday and picked the last of the peppers. At this point I think its safe to say there will be no more produce from my veggie garden
Some of the Zinnias are ready to be clipped and bagged for use next year...now that I know how tall they get I will be able to plant them in the correct locations next year in my landscaping area. I did cut some and placed them in a flower vase this past week....they are great for that purpose!
I am impressed with how quickly these grow and how easy to care for....yet the color is spectacular
Your garden and view is beautiful
Thank you... What do you mean by clipped and bagged on the Zinnias? I ask because my neighbor has them and maybe she will let me steal a few if there is a way besides seeds to grow em. They are purdy for sure and want some for next year.

Thanks again for the compliment but would much rather be in your mountains and those views.. Are the leaves changing there yet? Hopefully, you can get some purdy pics of it. You get up early I see.

.
After the flower dies off cut and bag the flower head in a brown paper bag.......let them dry out. Next year pull out the paper bag the middle of the flower head will have Zinnia seeds to replant.
My boss gave me these in a paper bag I just popped open the heads from the dried flowers and planted the seeds Now that I know the secret....looks like I'll have them again next year .....and so will you

Have you ever tried stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon on a grille? Really tasty.
I have heard of doing them that way.
When i grill them I split them in half lengthwise, get the seeds and veins out. Then i fry some bacon and crumble it up. Mix the bacon bits in with some softened cream cheese, stuff the peppers, lay them on their backs on the grill on medium heat for about 5 minutes, YUM!!!!

That is probably a better way to do it. We cut the tops off and clean out the inside and fill with a cream cheese mixture with secret stuff added. Then wrap the peppers with bacon and hold it on with toothpicks. Then grill it until bacon is crispy and man....those things are killer....but messy...

Actually was just messin'.... What we do is mix shredded cheddar cheese with the cream cheese, some garlic powder, little bit of Frank;s hot sauce, and little bit of the dry packet of Hidden Valley ranch dressing and stuff it in and wrap w/ bacon.

Looks healthy!.. I've been getting the urge but this weather has sucked really, really, really bad... It has rained and rained and rained it seems every friggin day for a month. Depressing for sure but at least someone gets to plant! May 10th is around the last of any frost warnings around here.
