How's the weather????
Have been reading about the dreadful weather you guys are having in the US. Hope everyone is safe. Keep those SSR's under cover. I noticed that Europe has also been having storms with 200kph winds. Our weather is also very unseasonal at the moment. In Victoria they have been having bushfires since about October. Thredbo, our ski resort, is under threat at the moment as well.

I hear the fires are pretty bad - some California firefighters were dispatched your way last week.
The Central Valley of California has been rather unseasonable too - hard freezes happen about every 10 years - we've had morning lows in the low to mid 20 degrees F for over a week... Looks like about a Billion dollar loss for the citrus industry in my area...

In my area of So Cal, today was the first warm day in over a week. About 69 - 71 degree & I sure hope this holds up the another couple of weeks. Area crop damage is over a $105 million.
We have been getting lots of snow this year, but temps have not been bad, hit -40 only for a day or so.

The local news said the orange, tangelo and grapefruit crops grown in Yuma County, AZ and across the river in SoCal have experienced a 95% loss due to the hard freeze.
Unbelievable!! Last week we say reports about wild fires burning in Malibu and this week we see reports on SNOW in Malibu! We an't gittin nutin in Detroit but murders!grimmye
First light icing of the season. A very light coating of snow/ice this AM. AKA an insurance companies nightmare.
it maybe a night mare for the insurance companies....but for auto appraisers like myself...it is called job security.....windfall profits.. and pay the bills time.....I am waiting until next week...I will be busy ... too busy to play......I will be busier than a set of "jumper cables" at a Mexican wedding

You know that this means the prices will be through the roof in the not too distant future.
After the cyclone went through Innisfail last year (about 2 hours from here) it wiped out almost all of their banana plantations and prices per as high as $13.50/kg. Now that things are starting to return to normal, the bananas are plentiful again and this week down to $1.98/kg. And I know it is not the poor producers that get the extra money when prices are high!!!!!!!
