I think that is part of the problem, she needs a break. To much stress being a moderator!

What? Another sympathy ploy after your "timely" post flaming me and Dave last night well after we had gone to bed and couldn't defend ourselves? Oh, wait - Dave couldn't defend himself could he - seeing's how he's been suspended until Sunday evening (possibly rightfully so - but you flamed me - and I tried to handle things offline, so fair's fair!).

That "Basic Facts" thread was pretty unfair - and it didn't go unnoticed that you closed it when you noticed I was online.

You are not the only person who has any kind of stress in your life - which may well be why your apology after the first moderation was met with much hesitation; if you felt the need to apologize, maybe you shouldn't have moderated in the first place. There are forum members who have lost their jobs, or who are getting ready to lose their jobs because of the economy. There are members whose health is nowhere near as good as your health or mine. These are things that are much more important than this BS! Again, you know darn good and well that I tried to handle things the right way - PM'ing the right people. You chose to bring this out into the public. I try very hard to treat people right and not be judgmental or cruel, but frankly I don't care if you're under stress for this situation - you've brought it on yourself!

I can’t believe how unprofessional Julie and Dave are over this whole issue.

I think the threads were closed to keep this from getting any nastier than it already is. That is probably a good idea and will give people a chance to cool off a bitwhere necessary. Name calling does no good for anyone and the stress on many people is not lessened by this whole thing. I hope we can all just settle down and be friends again. Maybe not speaking for a bit, but eventually letting cooler heads prevail. Let's see if we can do that without the help of a moderator, ya think?

A. I am not a moderator!
B. The above reads as extremely childish!
C. Knock it off.

Over the last 5 years, I've witnessed an occasional dustup or disagreement , but never anything quite as unprofessional as Jewlz' last post.

I missed whatever happened last weekend, and haven't seen any of it on the forum or in PMs, but this post by Jewlz will do nothing to help the situation.

If Dave referred to a moderator with anywhere near the language suggested, he got away easy with a week off. Other sites would have rewarded him with a lifetime ban. Same deal for coming back online with a different name.

Being a moderator is a thankless, difficult task, and as a group we need to support their decisions. Whatever happened could have gone away quietly, but posts like this last one and a couple others Jewlz posted in the last few days just keep jabbing at open sores. The "Done" thread Jewlz started didn't help matters much.

It would be great if Jewlz would take a couple days off from Fanatics and let things settle down, rather than trying to get members to choose sides.

One request - It would be nice if Dave refrained from adding some reference to being moderated in his avatar when he is allowed back. That's happened a couple of times in the past, and it also keeps fanning the embers.

There's plenty of nasty stuff to go around in lots of other fields. It would be nice if we could see a return to calmer times on SSRFanatic.

I agree, thus I am closing down this thread. I believe we have covered this topic sufficiently in a few different threads now.

I hope things will settle down very soon so that cooler heads will prevail so that we all can come back together again as one happy SSR family.
