I know there are several Ormond Beach or vacinity, Fanatics, and wondering if you know of any homes or land for sale. Or good brokers to deal with. (Last time we spent a day driving around looking at things that weren't even a consideration). We're coming down next week to look at a few, but it's always nice to have a referral. There's a parcel in particular on A1A across the street from the ocean that we've been trying to find the owner.

Try JEFFDBFL... He lives somewhere in that area. I'm sure he'll reply. If you're looking a little farther from the beach, I have property and connections in and near the Ocala National Forest. ( Same latitude...) or farther south by Miami. Good luck and welcome to our great state!

I should have warned you.... It's been very smokey across the whole state due to fires in North Florida, Georgia and SW Florida. It's been awful everywhere.... but it's supposed to clear up next week. I hope it's gone by the time ya'll arrive.
We just sold our Townhouse at Ormond Ocean Club. You must be right near us!
We'll definitely have to connect.
As for all the weather concerns, we've vacationed at Ormond in May for over 30 years and only a handful of times have had bad weather. VERY LUCKY! Thanks for the heads-up though about the fires. One year we couldn't drive out from Orlando because of the fires. Hopefully we'll bring some good luck!

To find owners of specific properties try http://flaglerpa.com/ for Flagler County or http://volusia.org/property/ for Volusia County. You can do record searches on either site to see all the info on different properties. Both have aerial maps that can zoom in on whatever property you are looking for.
Try http://webapps2.planetrealtor.com/id...SearchSource=X Its not as complete as regular MLS but can give you some ideas. There are a lot of properties for sale now in the area. Its a buyers market so don't be afraid to wheel and deal.

We are considering selling our condo in FL because of this. Its gotten ridiculous. We love FL in the winter and will still go there if we sell, we will just rent for the winter. Plus see some new winter places for a change. (TX, AZ, etc. or something. ) It would be good to see some new stuff.
