Exclamation Drive one first!

Eddie,
I, too, had always wanted a Prowler and came real close to buying one in March. I rented an '01 Aztec Gold for a weekend and was so disappointed with the ride and performance that I let it sit in my driveway the rest of that weekend rather than use it! It did spur me to go to the local Chevy dealer and talk him into pulling his only SSR (at that time) out of the showroom for a test drive. Still love the looks but no comparison in terms of the ride. It is great that you can have both though! Plenty of Prowlers on line, e-bay, cars.com etc. Good Luck!

I tried to test drive a prowler, but the dealer it was at refused to let me drive it. I’m about 6’ 2” and 230 pounds and didn’t fit well in the prowler and couldn’t comfortably move my foot from the gas to the brake without kneeing the dash. I tried to adjust everything to make it more comfortable, but in the end the dealer and I agreed that it wasn’t the car for me. He was the one who told me about the SSR at my local dealer....I fit in the SSR just fine.......

Test drive it first!!!

Just What You Need

Eddie,

The Prowler is just what you need!

I do not know of one specifically but if you check the following:

www.Prowleronline.com and ebay

On the Prowler online you will find people who are either willing to sell their Prowlers or know of a Prowler for sale. Post you question there. You will also find a lot of technical, performance and appearance information on the site. Also if you go to ebay and look up Plymouth or Chrysler Prowlers you will find some that are for sale. They may or may not be close to you. But you will certainly get your selection. Also the prices are reasonable.

Finally, if you want to to www.cars.com and look up Prowler. You can set the search so that it finds all Prowlers within a certain distance of you. However, it actually doesn't always find all Prowlers because some of them are only listed on ebay or on the Prowler online cite.

Have fun! Good Luck! Hope you GET YOUR PROWLER!!!!!

P.S. Orange is the best color! Candy Apple red is second

P.S. P.S. I am 6'2" and 250 pounds. The fit is tighter than the SSR but I do fit just fine. I put the stearing wheel all the way up and the seat to the floor. It is not as comfortable as the SSR, but it is so cool!!!!

Thanks for the help,
Well I didn't find one with in 500 mi, but I said what in the heck,
I want one.
I bought one from a guy in New York, 1009 miles from me.
Got me a airplane to take me to New York, drove that baby home!
It had 1800 miles on it before I left, now 2800.
That don't matter to me, I got it to drive.
Ordered a hard top and bumper remove kit for it today.
I was sure glad when I got out of NY and Penn, those roads were about to beat me to death.
The roads up there suck!
O yea, I have ben reading at ProwlerOnLine for a while, very good site
also.
Thanks
Eddie

Welcome to the club

There are a few of us on here that have both a Prowler and SSR. I think you'll have fun in both. Sure the Prowler is much more of a hot rod in ride quality but you will never get more stares and questions in any other car made. I like both for what they are and that is that. You'll always hear of the Prowler owners that would never buy an SSR or an SSR owner that wuld never ever buy a Prowler. To each his own and welcome.
