Michelin $50.00 tire rebate

I just wanted to share this with my fellow fanatics.

I work for Michelin Tire and Michelin is having a "Friends of Michelin" promotion. This is a promotion that is available to friends and family of a Michelin employee. It allows a person to get a $50.00 rebate for the purchase of 4 MICHELIN tires, or a $20 rebate on the purchase of 2 MICHELIN tires.
Since all of you folks are my frineds, I thought I would share this with you.

In order to get the rebate, you must purchase 2 or 4 MICHELIN tires between 8/01/2007 and 11/30/2007. You will need the original, or a legible copy of the tire purchase receipt, and a certificate provided that Michelin provides to me to give out. It must be postmarked by12/28/07.

I have a limited number of these certificates.
Send me a SASE and I will send you a certificate. PM me for my address...

Also, I must add that I am just passing this on and hoping I can help someone save a bit of money. If something happens and for whatever reason you do not get your rebate, I can not be held personally responsible to provide you the rebate amount (just a little CYA for me).

Good one, ssr . . . I was thinking the same thing!

by the way, jleas . . . VERY NICE GESTURE.

I just learned the other day that Michelin is no longer producing the tires I need for my CJ-7. Mega disappointment because they are definitely the best tires ever.

How much influence do you have there?

Curt

Good Luck, this thread is dated 2007. John no longer has his SSR and is not on here often.

Here's My Deal.....

I called Firestone about a buy 3 get 1 free deal on Firestone performance tires. Told the guy I wanted the Performance wide oval tires. He said the Wide Ovals were not part of that "performance" deal.
I said "your going to tell me these wide ovals are not a performance tire??? He said they were but the company was not doing the 3 for the price of 4 with this tire.
I asked what he could, or would do if I wanted this tire. W/o taking a breath he said he would take $100 off the price if I ordered this Ovals.

So the final price came to $919...tires, mounting, balance, and tax out the door. Moral of the story is......you have to ask.....nothing happens until you do.

P.S. john has been on line about a week ago

Check with your local Discount Tire shop, Dlrosen . . . they'll usually match and/or beat any competitive offer.

Good Luck

Had these tires put on today.....are they smooooooooth on the road. Checked the alignment.....toe, camber, both were off quite a bit. Did the alignment for 69.99..then they (Firestone store) have a lifetime alignment for double the price....bought that too.
Am a happy Firestone camper. Trip to NY in two weeks should be a smoooooth one.

I bought 4 Michelin tires for my 08 toyota Tacoma ski truck and i got a $50.00 gift card with ESSO gas . I used the gas card then droped the card at the pump , pulled away and watched the next guy at the pump pick up the card thinking he had struck gold .He sheepishly looked around to see if anyone noticed got gas and went in to pay . I can just imagine the look on his face when the attendant said no ballance left .
