My Son's Eagle Project

Guys.

I am proud to announce that my son went in front of his Eagle scout chairman Saturday morning to get approval for his project, and had it approved.

A quick over view of his project is as follows:

Eagle's for higher Education.

Put on a Car Show fundraising event to raise money for local scholarship(s) to the UW-Rock county.

The event is to include:

Silent auction with various items donated by local business's or national chains etc.

Door prizes to be handed out through out the day.

Possible event t-shirts

DJ music.

Echo food drive (Food pantry)

Goodwill or Salvation army clothing drive.

All classes will be judged by the levels of Scouts from Tigers (the youngest) then Wolf, Bear, Weblos, Tenderfoot, First class, Second Class, Star, Life, and EAGLE (this will be best of show).

We will be sitting down over the christmas holiday to write up a form letter to send out for business's, requesting donations to either auction, hand out for door prizes, or cash to put towards awards and or expenses. And to local advertisers to help promote the event.

The exact date is yet unknown as we need to sit down with the UW-Rock County to see what date works best for both them and us. We're looking at possibly a first weekend or so in July event.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT WILL GO DIRECTLY TO SCHOLARSHIP(S) FOR A STUDENT(S) TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION.
He's got a lot of planning and organization to do for this event , So let's Wish him Luck.

i teach private music lessons from 6th thru 12th grades and have done it off and on since 1972. i have had 21 kids make Eagle scout that i know of and 3 about to finish this year and probably more that i dont know of. these i gave recommendations for.

I taught school for 28 years and have over 25 of my students make Eagle. I am proud of all my children,especially those in scouting. While I live in Daytona Beach, I do have dear friends that live in Janesville. I will call them and tell them to keep an eye out for your event. Good luck...........docrod

We finally got our Approval of the Sponsor/Donation Request letters this past weekend along with the fliers.

The show is set for July 7th, 2012
