G.M.C Acadia, Saturn Outlook, Buick Enclave & Hyundai Veracruz are all crossovers. Will seat 7 or 8 depending on the seating arrangements you choose.

Sorry, the Vue I mentioned is a 2008, and seats 5 max. If you need to seat more, like we did, I'd look at the Honda Odyssey. Have a 2002, and in 159,000 miles it has needed: door switch, transmission (recall, no problems), and recently, seat belt retractors, all under warranty!

IMHO, SUV are great if you need to tow something really heavy. Otherwise, not a practical family vehicle.

BTW, Our Odyssey pulls a 3550 lbs. 28' Airstream, too.

And you are correct, I was just giving her a hard time.. She has another kid that is 18 and lives in West Virgina. I don't count him when trying to figure out transportation....I still want her to get an Avalanche!

You all have been great and even my husband giving me a hard time. He thinks he is funny anyway.

Gas prices just went back up to 2.99 here today (last week I paid 2.53), so gas mileage will become more and more of a factor in this decision as well.
