Off to Mexico this morning

Debbie and I are taking a 3 day "time out" to go to the beach in Mexico and recharge our batteries. Taking the Tahoe..... No cell phone, no computer, no grandkids, no responsibilities. Just a quick getaway for the weekend with no expectations.... except great margaritas, some good Mexican food and some fine company (her).

I'll catch up Sunday night.

Later,

Mikey

Nope.... I'm sure it's not. This is a very needed QUIET time. The SSR is safely stashed on a lift with a cover on it at the exhaust shop getting fitted with a new system and we are gonna stay in a nice condo on the beach. Can't wait to get my partner away from her stresses and relax.

Ya'll better keep an eye on those East Coast mice this weekend.

back in the saddle.... kinda

Definitely unwound a little in Rocky Point. A little Tequila and some great Mexican food. Two nites with my honey and no cell phone or computer. No alarm clocks either.

Doug - Manny's was having a Chili cookoff on Saturday afternoon and we couldn't find a parking spot for a quarter mile. Spent the afternoon eating and drinking elsewhere. Dinner at the Friendly Dolphin was excellent. Breakfast at Max's this morning was great too.

It's gonna take me a few days to get back into the swing of things.

Even though it was a little cold, we had a great time.

Mike

Glad you had a good time. The Dolphin has great food, we usually hit it once each time we go down.

Max's is a little spot across from what used to be called Plaza Los Glorias. Right at the south end of Sandy Beach. Owned by an American, and as clean a place as you will find in the town. I highly recommend breakfast there.

Latitude 31 also has some great breakfast.

Lily's has closed and is for sale.

More high rises going up on Sandy Beach.

I know them all - Latitude's is great for breakfast. Lily's needed to close - the last few years they were terrible. We usually stay in the condos next to Plaza Las Glorias (Pinacate) across the street from Max's.

The little taco stands all up and down the street are really good after a long night.....Rocky Point is great for eating, drinking and beaching. Did you get out to the dirt mall toward the Sandy Beach condos? The main drag through there now has concrete paved streets. No more dirt mall - that's progress!

Yup, got to the dirt mall.... very surprised at the concrete. Also surprised at the new paved road from Princessa to Plaza Las Glorias... going past Playa Bonita.

Gonna have to find a new place for peace and quiet. Looks like Pto Penasco is going commercial too fast. Maybe farther down the coast.
