We had a 30 year reunion today of a local car club I co-founded.
Classic Cruisers of Leamington area was open to any car/truck 20 years old or older on a sliding scale year to year.
A lot of old story’s where told, some of which the wife’s should not hear.
Some stories about my self I had forgotten, but everyone else had remembered and told, made me laugh. I should be dead by now.
It was leaked to some people earlier in the week by Brenda that it was my birthday and a cake was dumped in front of me. I turned red as that song was sung. Then one of the old members puts a framed photo in my hands. About 1976 this was a happy kid with his first people’s choice and best of class. Note the foot wear, it was a very wet weekend. Lot’s of hair and only about 280lb’s at the time. The good old days.
Kids today will not have these kinds of memories because they are on the phone or computer all the time.
That car was my first verson of it. The glass tilt was changed back to stock steel tilt. The paint was changed and the 301ci was swiched to 400ci smallblock that rocked. One night a rod twisted and she has been sitting since. I retire in four years and then a ground up in a sixty's drag look will be under way. The suicide shaker will roll again.

Yes the 57 is sitting 30 yards away. For body metal she needs new rockers.
the rest is just take it back to bare metal like last time and build it back up super straight. Frame is solid but might want to notch the back and suck those tires inside by narrowing the rear end more again or just more accurate radius the wheel wells, tuff call at this point. Another is straight axle or not?
But yes must have stack injection and pie crust cheater slicks. I have collected a bunch of period correct window sticker’s lions drag way and an old Detroit drag way stickers. Some old cal custom engine bay stuff. It already has a basic row bar hoop and bars going back to the rear set.... well where the rear seat use to be. Paint might be a solid Maroon with a swooping gold leaf REBEL RACING on the doors.
