Ouch !! Gas Prices

Just filled up today in McMinnville, OR 92 octane Chevron Supreme was $3.59 a gallon, $72 for 20 gallons. Has anyone checked into what it would take to convert our SSRs to E85 ? If we are going to pay the big bucks, it would be nice to have the 105 octane of E85.

Just read on MSN that the prices are expected to go up another 23 cents by the end of the month!!!!

Light, sweet crude slipped 32 cents to close at $105.15 per barrel on New York Mercantile Exchange, but only after briefly surpassing $106 on Friday.

Well, I assume he was fueling up with regular (87). I swapped the computer in my truck back to factory so I could go back to 87. The Westers tune I had required 89 minimum. At 15 to 20 cents a gallon, and coupled with the 1+ MPG loss on the upgraded computer, I'm saving anywhere from $5 to $10 a tank by going back!

It's always the same cost no matter the price per gallon. Pumps here shut off at $75.

Just a thought. Some of the ethanol plants in Ks a shutting down as can,t afford to buy the high priced grain even with you and I giving them 50cents per gallon help. Bio diesel is $6.00 pre gallon . some of my farm customers are crying foul. Can,t afford to run it blended at 2-4% with regular diesel. We are $3.15 on 87 and $3.77 on highway diesel and crude is up today. The stock market is the BIG problem as people are running up fuel trying to make a buck on paper.Price would drop if they had to take delivery of the fuel. Denny

Weird - saw a Valero station yesterday selling reg at $3.01. Across the street a Citgo station was at $3.19 for the same product. Couldn't believe there were three cars pumping at the Citgo.

You bastage! Wonder why though... it's been steadily climbing here. Regular's anywhere from 3.11 to 3.29 at the stations along my travels.

Filled up last week it was $3.19 per gallon. Went by the same station the next morning it was #3.31 ??? I have to buy 2 tanker loads of Diesel for the truck shop I run. The last load cost $ 28,789 and that only put the tank at
1/3 full. If we want to deliver product we have to pay the price.

Question

Bend over, grab you ankles.

Everything I have runs on 93 or Diesel.

Prices here in either Georgia or Alabama are about the same. HIGH

Yesterday 93 was $3.69 and highway diesel was $3.89.
That $ucks, especially since diesel cost about 1/2 as much as regular to produce.

Getting really good gas mileage

Back in Nov.....I started getting really good gas mileage.......I sold our new 2007 Dodge Nitro R/T.........the milage sucked........Baby Bear now stays in the garage except for really nice days for a trip to Red Lobster.......and I got Momma an HHR with all the bells........It gets really good mileage ......rides much nicer than I thought it would.....handles great........No problems......And we get almost as many positive comments as we do with the SSR......Filled it up yesterday and paid $3.19 and thats in a county that has 0.11 cent more gas tax than surrounding counties.......The 99 T/A,WS6 and the SSR .....sit most of the time.......So right now I feel I have the best of both worlds.....And my dealer has a new HHR/SS due in this week.......I might be interested.......as I have a guy here wanting the T/A WS6......So since I can't do anything about gas prices..... I will increase gas mileage from owned vehicles. And the HHR/SS looks pretty good.

I paid $3.22 at WalMart. I'm still being passed by many speeders and wonder how much the price of gas goes up before folks start slowing down, our speed limits around here are already liberal, mostly 45 or 55mph.

I tried some E85 in my 07 Silverado. Pump price was 10% ($0.30) cheaper than regular. Gas mileage was 15% less than with regular. I won't be using any more E85!
