I did hear about the Tuskegee Airmen and I was there about 10 years ago.
They were a Black Squadren of P-51 Pilots. I got all of their Autographs except one. These were some very Honerable Pilots.
I have met several of the Tuskegee Airmen and have donated to their historical group, "The Red Tail Squadron," which has restored a P-51 for use in Air shows around the country. THeir pilot is the son of one of the Tuskegee Airmen and they are now trying to raise money for an associated traveling museum (40 foot semi) to travel with it.

I too helped them out. They should get more recognition than they do.
My SSR: Not an SSR owner, just make cool parts for them!
That was great, enjoyed watching it.
On my way to Florida one year the passenger next to me was a P-51 pilot. Needless to say it was a very short flight to Florida because I got to hear some great stories. I was almost sure I seen him in that video at the reunion.
That's just wonderful all around. A guy that grows up knowing about the WWII fighter ace on his street and then actually restores the exact same P-51 Mustang he flew.
The music being sung during the credits is the ace's wife who was an entertainer.
Wow! I've always been an aviation nut and everyone loves the P-51. I ordered the DVD from Amazon.com! That one is a keeper!
