About 8 weeks ago John Germanson aka Crash Dummy, The Tuning Genius at MagnaCharger was diagnosed with Pancreatic/Liver/Esophagus Cancer. Last week he was admitted to the hospital and placed on a feeding tube to help with his nourishment. Yesterday he was admitted to the ICU because of difficulty breathing. John passed away last night leaving a Wife, Son and many friends behind with his memory. John was a guy that would give the shirt off his back and his last dollar to anyone who needed it. I know he has helped several of us from the board, and I wanted you guys to know. Your prayers and thoughts are needed for his family.
I consider John a close friend and mentor, he will be missed by all that have known him.
If you would like to send a card to his family please send it to the below address.

I am very sorry Joe as you know I lost my friend of well just about all my life to the same thing, As teens we played music together, Chased girls together and we when in the Army the same time and went to Vietnam the same time, I have tried to think of a way to honor his memory but nothing I can think of, He was a heck of a guitar player, If it had strings he could play it I did get him on the keyboard, He has played for or backed up anyone in country music that is or was anyone so you have my thoughts and his family has my thoughts
I'm deeply sorry about your friend, I lost a friend just like him. He went around with no shirt many times. A person who helps people is rare, But people missing him is not.

Sorry to hear the news.
I understand that Jeff Healey (a Great blind guitarist from Canada) also just passed from cancer - if you're not familiar with Jeff, he was the guitarest in the movie Roadhouse. (Portions of the movie was filmed on the Kings River near Sanger & I ran into some of the cast at a local watering hole way back then.) http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/04/ar....html?ref=arts
Patrick Swayze also has pancreatic cancer as well... Patrick Swayze Has Pancreatic Cancer, An Expert Explains the Risk Factors and Treatments for Pancreatic Cancer - CBS News
In a statement published in People magazine, Swayze's doctor, George
Fisher, MD, an oncologist at Stanford Cancer Center in Palo Alto, Calif., said,
"Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be
responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the time
frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We
are considerably more optimistic."

Way too much of this going on lately...
FWIW . . . on the Good Morning LA Show on Fox 11, it was just reported on Patrick's condition stating he has merely weeks to live ? ? ? ? Did I "mishear" this or have they now reached a different prognosis ?
