HRG, Versus alert for tonight's game - it doesn't look like FSN is carrying it!! The current state of the Wings is scary. We've lost an entire, very good, second line with Filppula, Franzen, and Williams gone. Now with Kronwall gone, and he's been our highest scoring defenseman so far this year, we're really getting thin for backup! It's been interesting because for the first time in Lidstrom's career he has been playing less minutes than other d-men. Kronwall and Stuart have been logging the heavy minutes this year, with Lidstrom and Raf. averaging 3 to 5 minutes per game less. Of course that's about to change. This will be great opportunity for Darren Meech to step in and prove his worth. The bad thing about our injuries is, except for Filppula, they're all leg related and the players really lose their conditioning and have to start over once they heal. Filppula is skating and will will come back quite quickly once the wrist heals. So far I've been pleasantly surprised with Howard in goal! He and Oz have pretty much identical stats and Howie has been quite steady. I really thought he would be the weak link this year and he's proved me wrong so far! The Helm line is just plain fun to watch every shift. If Helm develops some scoring touch he'll score 25 goals easy. He along with Draper and Eaves have got to be the fastest line in the NHL. The beard is playing real inspired and is scoring some nice goals. I believe Pavel is getting somewhat frustrated playing with Bertussi, as they just never seem to click. He hasn't done much when playing with Z either, but Z will just ignore him and still play his game. The Wings are hanging in pretty well, with the team they have, and will only get stronger as the season progresses and players return. We're staying in the top 10 overall and that's all we can expect in our current state!

Have to agree on Howard pretty impressed with him myself! I'm just plain old happy to see Pavel scoring...don't care with what line he's playing
No doubt we are hurting and for the long run I have enjoyed watching what they are doing w/out many of our star players
Looks like I have to get the play by play via of radio or son tonight....that stinks!!

That puke Laraque, who took out Kronwall's knee, got a 5 game suspension that will cost him over $38,000!! I remember him saying after the game, nothing about being sorry, but instead that if he'd done anything wrong he'd have received a 5 minute penalty not the 2 minute penalty he got. Well the league office saw the real and obvious picture upon review and he got what he justly deserved! It's a crying shame as Kronwall was playing the best hockey of his career at the time!

I would so love to respond to topspins post......but I can't even read it....I swear this has to be the most elongated post/thread I've ever seen Scrolling horizontally is very difficult This is the only thread that does that....
Could you imagine turnzheads naked photo ....it would be like going through the house of mirrors at a carnival
