Rest room manners

Traveling down the interstate and needing to "go", I stopped at a rest area and headed to the restroom.

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying:
"Hi, how are you?"

I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom and I don't know what got into me, but I answered, somewhat embarrassed, "Doin' just fine!"

And the other person says:"So what are you up to?"

What kind of question is that, I thought to myself? At that point, I'm thinking this is way too bizarre so I say: "Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!"

By then, I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question, "Can I come over?"

Okay, this question is just too weird for me, but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I tell them "No..I'm a little busy right now!!!"

Then I hear the person say nervously... "Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions !

CELL PHONES - DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THEM?!!

Well RRR I think you need to spend a little more time with the older guys. Although your friendly nature is to be commendable. Next time just say I'm straight.

Next time, ask for a "courtsey flush".

I had to do that at a SSRFANATIC function lately...

I changed my voice, and in a matter of seconds received the flush.

Tell me about it! The cell phone is singlehandedly destroying our society's sense of propriety and decorum.

Speaking of destroying our society's sense of propriety and decorum, did you hear what the Jr & high school kids in Utah are doing with cell phone? I'm sure it taken place in other states too.

Just like the motorized vehicle has destroyed the country

Just like the moving picture box has destroyed society's social fabric

Just like the internet has destroyed people's ability to commincate verbally

Just like jeans has destroyed wearing proper attire.

Just like.......

Your sense of propriety and decorum is not the same as people from a hundred years ago, and theirs is not the same as people from 500 years ago....etc.

The world changes.....eat more chocolate

It's going to happen....no matter how much we dislike it.
I try and make extra "bathroom" noises when I see someone talking on a cell phone in the bathroom. I guess that makes it funny for me rather than disgusting.
