Ruby is resting well
Ruby is resting well after having 4 girls and 3 boys.
Claws and tails dock at 44 hours old.
I swear they grew an inch in a day

Eyes are starting to open and they are starting to stand up on all 4. Can you pick out the rebel of the bunch in picture three.

Ah........
they are so cute...
Are you going to keep all of them? I know it is going to be very hard to part with any of them.
I love to watch them grow but the puppy part is the BEST!
My Wally loves to roll over on his back too. He will take a flying leap into my lap and roll over! Loves to snuggle.

yes and no...docking is typically done for "breed standard" reasons, but for hunting or fighting dogs, it is typically done to minimize potential for injury.
It is less cruel to do it as young pups as there is minimal pain..."anesthesia by amnesia" is the term used, just like circumsizing baby boys.

Thanks for the pictures, I am a retired AKC breeder of Yorkshire Terriers. I miss those days with puppies everywhere, so I am enjoying watching your pups grow up.
These days it's just me and the adult Yorkies quietly enjoying the days together. Their chore in life is to watch over the house while I am gone. If the Yorkies don't see things to get excited about Marvin the guard parrot does and brings all the Yorkies running to see what is happening. Never a dull moment in my house.
Thanks again for the pictures, really cute.

Ed and Brenda........those babies are getting so "chubby" and cuter everyday. I don't know how you are ever going to part with them.

We had a litter to slow mother down some and then she will be fixed. We also had a litter to keep "ONE" female as company to mom while we are at work. It is going to be tough to not keep 3 or 4
We did this before with Rebel who had a litter and we kept Rowdy and it worked out great for 13 years.
At the $300 price we have enough buyers for all but one and ours.

yes all on solid
dry food for a week. When out side they are a hoot to watch so fast all doing different stuff at same time. Its so neat when you walk by and 7 heads all turn as one, watching you. only a week left to play with all of them.
The picture is in a 4 foot by 4 foot pen in our kitchen. But they all curl up in a puppy pile like this at nap time.
