I just received this text from Mark:
well we had a tragedy yesterday our house in victorville burned to the ground last night a total loss all animals accounted for except the two cats nobody hurt they did say that one went out the door when a neighbour broke in to rescue them Mr turtle got Burt but will be ok and one of the dogs had hair singhed but ok were fine but the house is gone along with my tools and die cast collection all hot wheels gone

what's bad is that we had alot of dannis pictures and stuff of dannis that are gone my wife is strong but I don't think she will hold up well when she sees it as we are both up north here working she goes back tomorrow night the beleave it was caused by a short in the attic wiring or fire place but the wife hasn't had a fire since Dec thanks for posting ill look at it tomorrow but the worst is losing dannis stuff thanks again love ya man

Damn, mark, I am very sorry to hear about this. What a tragedy to lose your possessions, but at least you all are OK. Thank God for the things in life that are most important, like your lives.

So sorry Mark. Thank God that all of your family are okay. There was a house fire two days ago near Hendersonville, NC. A father and four children were home sleeping when it started. The father ran thru out the house to make sure everyone was outside. After all of his family were safe, he went back in one last time, not to return. No one knows why, some think for a pet. I can understand why he went back in for a pet, I would do the same for our dog (Lucy) unless someone was able to stop me.

Mark, I'm so, so, so sorry for the loss of your home. It is said that one in every ten will have a total loss home fire. I've been on the side of trying to put out fires that consumed all of what one owned. I have stood there and held folks back from going back into a house to get that precious item that they thought they couldn't live without. I have felt that pain.
Please be thankful that you weren't there, and that ALL are alive and well. The THINGS can be replaced, you and your family cannot!
Petition all of the family for pictures that they have, ask them to make copies for you, pay for them if they can't, remember the times and the pictures will come back in your mind.
Remember that there was a reason you weren't there, and the man upstairs was looking after you when he planned for you not to be home.
