The atomizer I attempted to make blew up when I tried to square the ends. Acrylic is hard to work with.QUOTE]
WHAT were you thinking? just kidding... is it like stress relieving metal to work with?
Yup. Loads of fun. When I drilled the center out it left the walls of the blank too thin. I nearly lost my finger in the drill press with a new bit that was new and sharp. Went through my fingernail. Dumb. That is how we learn to respect our tools.

Oh and trying to second guess the material we're working with, huh? "Killer "Acrylic just got a new meaning.
I found parts of it across the room. Wait until you see the atomizer when it is done. It is Irish Green with gold pump and ends. I have one more Green blank left. If this one is really ruined (I super glued it back together) then there is another chance.
Strange weather.... It definitely got into the 70's today, but I can feel the temp dropping fast! (I have my front windows open) Gonna be cold overnight and only in the 50's tomorrow.
but...we got Nevada and all the works we can haul back to Ca. if we so feel the need to blow fingers off.
Criminy, come to Texas. They have barns full of the stuff. I remember Florida being the same way. We just stepped outside, on July 4th, and watched our neighbors.
