Anybody know a recipe for pickling eggs and sausages?
I remember back when there was such a thing as "package" stores in the south. It was before all the convienince stores popped up. They were actually just plain old beer stores. They always had pickled egss and pickled sausages sitting in the counters in big jars for sale. A lot of the beer stores had drive through windows and the pickled stuff would be sittin in the window also. When we would "drive-through" my daddy would always buy some of the eggs. And the nice beer store man would always give us candy and bubblegum.

Hi Glenda,
I didn't get those. I'll PM you John's email address and see if that works better. Please let me know when you resend and we'll confirm getting them.
Thanks for your help!

Everyone's been doing a great job getting recipes in! Thank you!
Got a lot of good ones in over the weekend. Thanks to Bondo Princess, AZSSR, Flying Dog, VEGASSR, Bad Bob, Dee and Roadranger for all of your great recipes. Your names are added to the list below.
If you know a Fanatic that's a great cook, please PM them to send in a few recipes.

Yep, you sure can. Emailed recipes are fine. If you can make the deadline, that is helpful. But if not, there will be another chance.
We weren't sure what to expect this first round. We've got just over 100 recipes in, which is great. However, we would like to see more, so I'm sure we'll extend the deadline a bit to make sure everyone's had a chance to participate. I'll be posting more info about this over the weekend as our group firms things up.

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been very responsive this past week to this thread. My mother, who has Rheumatoid Arthritis fell at the hair salon. Fortunately, she's okay - no broken bones, just sore muscles, a couple of bruises and cuts. But it took a few days to get her settled and make sure she's okay. With all that said, I'm back.
A big thank you to those of you who kept this going and answered questions! It is greatly appreciated!
Sorry for the problems with the PDF. Please feel free to put your recipe on a word form and email it to me. Please include your contact info, SSR Fanatic name and info about your SSR. And please feel free to PM with any questions.
Everyone's doing a great job sending in recipes. Thank you to Redline Dan for the recipes.

Thanks everyone for getting the recipes in! We had a lot of people participate.
The latest deadline has passed, but we'll be sorting through the recipes over the next couple of weeks. If you just saw this thread or forgot to send your recipe, please send it either by email or snail mail ASAP.
We'll keep you posted on the next steps of this project. Again, we'll be working to get this out as quickly as possible before the holidays.
Just wanted to say thanks to gnarly_dude and kart3D for their recipes! They will be great additions.
