SSR Fantasy Football League - Season IV
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!!!!!!
Well it's that time of year again - The SSR FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE is back. All of last year's teams should receive an invite from yahoo sports at the email account that you used for last year's league. If you haven't received an invite let me know.
I am opening up the league to any other fanatics interested in joining in on the fun this season. PM me with an email address and I will send out an invite. I will close the league on Sept 2, two days before our draft. We will have a live draft again this year on Sun Sept 4 12:45PM EDT.
Up for grabs is the SSR-FFL Trophy.

Devise a draft plan and stick with it!! 4 top RB's/WR's and QB Round 5!
I tried to drill that into my head the night before, knowing temptation might confront me, and it did. I caved because I couldn't stand seeing Rodgers still there at Pick 14. Don't get me wrong, I love having Aaron Rodgers but in every mock draft I participated when I took Rodgers or Vick in Round 2 everything else thereafter suffered, and you could never recover. Such was the case with me.
Rebel, I said to Brian in an email that picking in the 7-8 position this year might be a pretty good thing and in your case the auto pilot did a pretty good job, until Round 9 anyway (Mason Crosby). Picking Harvin or Maclin would have made sense because you are pretty thin in receivers. Crosby better kick lights out for you to warrant a #9 pick!
The good news is my Matchup with MNR Week 7 is Vicks bye week. I faced Vick 3 times last year!
Maybe it just seemed like it being as I bore the brunt of the Fantasy record of 50 some points agin me.

Somehow autopilot managed to give me rookie RB Turf Toe Best as my #3 last year.
40 points first game (didn't start him) but did a bunch thereafter as he managed to provide another 40 points over the balance of the season. Then #1 QB Romo KO'd Week 4 and losing #1 RB Gore fairly late sealed the fate of Cash Cows last year.
I probably took too much risk taking Foster #1 but at the time didn't realize the mediocrity I would wind up with behind him.
I really think you have a pretty solid team as does our other Canuck, Mr Home Hardware.
Maybe we could do some trades with the Yanks given the exchange rate is in our favour.

Watching the wildcard game on TV today I was thinking, I don’t see any recognition given to our new champion of the SSR-FFL.
With 8 teams in the hunt this year we have a new champion. Team owner and manager being Crosscheckfreak. His team worked hard all year to just keep them self’s in the playoff position. And then broke the backs of the league leaders to finish top dog 2011/2012 SSR-FFL CHAMP.
Well done Freakboy and thanks to all teams involved this year. Special thanks to Midnightrider for setting this all up and sponsoring the trophy.

JB called and offered an interview, but the network didn't want to fork over any cash for my time. If that's how they treat someone who's Pro Bowl bound, then they can smooch my patooty! I told him to give Frank Caliendo an extra segment, and see how far that gets ya!
And thanks, Rebel! I will hold my head up high, and serve my term as champion with grace and poise. Let me start by first saying...You all suck! And, Nya Nya Nya Nya Nya Nya!
But really, thanks guys, it was a fun season! I'm looking forward to season V!
