Has anyone noticed the graph is forming an almost perfect bell curve with the 50-60 brackets at the top?
The older I get, The better I was!
It looks like a normal distribution, and reflects just what I would have guessed. In talking with my kids the like the speed of my 05 but don't care for the looks.

Mark, I bet if you did a demographics (age group) of the former PT Cruiser owners it would be close to the same as us SSR owners! Maybe GM should take note that most younger people do not care for the retro look no matter what the price!
You know I have found this to be true with the 05 Mustang too, the young kids don't like it at all but I think it looks cool myself. And If I were to get one it would be the color no one likes GREEN!!!!!

Age? How about a hair or bald poll?
I wonder with such a "experienced", noticed I didn't say old or mature, group - how many are bald or not? Being 44 and needing more suncreen on my forehead each summer I was just wondering. When I was young I always wanted a Porsche 911 Turbo but noticed just about everyone driving one was bald. Then I realized that by the time I would be able to afford the types of vehicles I wanted I'd be going bald too! I'm getting there!!!
It was a nerve wracking experience to say the least! I was in the market for a Nissan Z Roadster when I drove past a dealer marking down '04 SSR's $10,000 off the sticker. I ended up getting $12,500 off the sticker price of $48,000!!!
I think I am getting much more looks in it than the SSR than I would have gotten in the Z!!!
Congratulations! I also thought about buying a 350Z when I was at the Los Angeles autoshow. Then I saw the SSR and knew that this was the vehicle for me!
Thanks for sharing now go to bed young man! It is past your bedtime! Ha! Ha!

P.S. Just having fun!
P.S. P.S. Let's not hijack this thread. Remember it is supposed to be about demographics.

I think it is also based on the insurance. The 05 Mustang Convertible is more money on auto insurance than the SSR , The 05 Vette is even cheaper. Its weird, the most expensive is the least in insurance , and the cheaper car (mustang) is the most expensive ! Go figure

I too bought the SSR as my first new car, just after my 25th birthday. I liked the styling since I first saw it, but I like old street rods too. I've talked to people from lots of age groups who liked the styling, but the retro aspect of it does seem to appeal more to an older crowd. That's what's so great about the SSR, it has something for everybody.

whenever i go to pick up my daughter after school at track practice the other kids at the junior high all gather around my ssr and ask me questions about it. the younger generation here in texas seems to like the styling as much as i do. will be in the 41 to 45 for one more year as of april 4 and i think the reason more young people out here don't by an ssr is because of the price range. most young folks where i live can't afford anything over 10,000 to 15,000 price range.
