I wonder with such a "experienced", noticed I didn't say old or mature, group - how many are bald or not? Being 44 and needing more suncreen on my forehead each summer I was just wondering. When I was young I always wanted a Porsche 911 Turbo but noticed just about everyone driving one was bald. Then I realized that by the time I would be able to afford the types of vehicles I wanted I'd be going bald too! I'm getting there!!!
I'd like to know how many are daily drivers and how many cover them up at noght with baby diapers and only drive them on the weekends when it not going to rain. Mine is baby diaper - weekend - 1500 mile per year car.
Ok, I admit it. Mine only comes out when it's sunny, gets parked indoors whenever not being used (or washed) and gets parked at the far ends of any parking lot (Home Depot, Wal*Mart, Applebees, etc....). There, I said it........
well I am 45 about to be 46 (god willing) so I jumped an age level to be classified with my bride. I hope I didnt distort the results, but in less than a month they wil be accurate. LOL

I bought it to drive it... It does have a heated and cooled garage to stay in but it is not affraid of rain. I will admit that I do not park so some idiot can hit the doors... If you see mine ina lot it will be in 2 places...
THose interested might see that my vote has pushed the 56-60 gang into the lead. Please DO NOT call this a mid-life crisis car as the prospect of living another half century will create a crisis in my head, at least until I forget the topic.
I purchased a silver one hoping that my hair would stick around long enough to match and besides silver is a neutral color which goes well with age spots and blood-shot eyes!
I also have the GM 7 year/100,000 mile warranty. If the seven years end and the odometer is less than 100,000 miles, I have failed in my mission to enjoy this ride!
Thanks for all the great stuff you smart and talented guys post on this forum. You are amazing and a wonderful resource.

PS Viagra? If I were to need that, I would try Cialis. The ADVERTISE that there is a chance that the pill might work for FOUR HOURS. They then advise that if that happens you should see a doctor! If that happens I am going to my phone list and making some calls! I will become legend

Old Phart??????
For most of us "Old Guys", we started out in High School building Hot Rods and have had a passion for our cars ever since. We all wanted something a little different, a personal expression of who we were....something unique! Why do you think most SSR owners stripe, paint, customize, change rims, add superchargers, custom headers, etc. who wants to pull up to a stoplight and have a vehicle just like yours stopped next to you .... so I say, you must grow old, but you never have to grow up!!!!
Us old pharts made the "custom" car industry what it is today!

SSR and age
This year I will reach double nickels "55", and I agree with hot rod girl, I couldn't afford something like this when I was young. I built every car I owned, all Chevys mostly big blocks. But I enjoy my SSR more than any car/truck I have every owned. The best part is the group of fanatics and the sharing of information, especially the friendships with other fanatics. I live in Sedona, AZ my SSR is an outside truck, sun, rain, snow and the Monsoons are wild, I have a 3 car garage, but no room for cars.

Motorheads never Die; they just rust away
I agree with you guys; my driver's licence and my knees say I'm 55 but I still have gas in my veins just like when I was 18.
My first car was a '68 Plymouth Roadrunner. It had a 383 which I swapped out for a rebuilt '67 440 Magnum. I kept that car for 34 years, just selling it to a young guy eager to restore it in 2002.
Sometimes I still kinda miss that 'runner but my SSR gives the same boot in the rear, has a lot more creature comfort and a drop top to boot. Ya gotta love that!
So now, instead of hanging around the burger joint swappin lies while waiting for a race, I get to hang out on the computer, swappin' lies and waiting for summer.
