Back-halfed Redline SSR trailer project on ebay. Listed as 2003 SSR Trailer. You buy and complete it. Yes, it's the same guy that was selling the hardtop a few months ago. His name is Mark.
My SSR: 2004 Redline-#11446-1 of 43 Calif. Speedway Parade Lap Trucks 9/05/04 (#48 Jimmie Johnson)
Wouldn't want it can't get very much in the truck now let alone two beds with no room. My buddy still rags me that I can't even fit a standard ice chest w/wheels in a $50,000 truck...

I'm surprize that the floor wasn't cut out on that trailer to make it a little more deeper for standard ice coolers, etc. Maybe the buyer will do that.

I bought an ice chest that works great with the SSR and the cover closes all the way. Its a 54 qt. Coleman stainless steel cooler that I got at target for $100. I'll take pictures when I get home from work.
Notice no picture of a hitch on the front of the trailer. Shipping to California would be out of sight but i would love to go get it..... and paint it asphalt black.
Besides good looks, a nice personality and a lot of money, what am I missing here? The bed section obviously has the same limitations all of our SSRs have, but in the cockpit area which now has only the channel frame, there are a huge number of possibilities. Put in a floor and wrap the area in sheet metal with a simple hinged cover and you have a second storage area for a spare tire or two if they are "standing" and a cooler or suitcases or, dare I say it, ...............

I like this idea. When someone does this. I would buy it.
With the trailer frame so much larger then the bed looks like you would be forced in to heavy fabrication. On the up side you would have more space. I am going to go and check it out if seller is willing.

After getting the ragging and watching my cooler following me in a Jeep to Laughlin. Then bringing it home empty on it's side in the back of the SSR, I went on a hell bent shopping spree to find a cooler that would fit in the " Red Mistress "...
Found an ESPN cooler, not only a sport guy thing, right size, and the plus is it's "RED & SATIN " in color....
Next since it had no wheels purchased a cool foldable hand cart from Harbor Freight now I can wheel up to 500lbs of beer...
Now I think I must have at least four coolers in the garage for different use's but one cool hand cart....

Now I know you UPS guys can't do 500#. Let us freight guys help you.
All this talk about Cooler's and Color I didn't think any one was interested.
As we all know this is a project here some of my observations and opinions
Sweet real deal all steel SSR bed cut at the rear of the door so you have a great jumping off point.
SSR bed seems to have it’s own unibody when removed from the frame should remain rock solid.
Owner has custom adaptors for the axels so it can run stock SSR 20” wheels and tires.
Standard bed liner.
Clean and dent free.
Tongue length not yet determined. ( not cut to length)
Big design questions How to make the top stack area assessable for storage of the ever-popular cooler and spare tire.
Towable today ? I dont see it being towed home with out more fab work.
Sorry I got so involved with talking to the owner I did not check the weld quality or determine the tubing size.
Is is worth the asking Price ? Time will tell it is a auction
Marc saw the posts and requested me to add this info;
The body is bolted down to the frame.
The trailer will be towable for the buyer if he wants it to be. I didn't want to go any further with putting the hitch on yet, because a potential buyer might have their own ideas on it. (Whether they want the tongue long or short - depends on the body design in the front of the trailer. Must keep a minimum of 42" - 48" for the length on the tongue and coupler for the hitch. I left it extra long on purpose for that reason and I didn't want to weld it on solid yet.
The front storage compartment would have approximately 3' Depth x 2' Height x 5' Width. The reason I layed it out that way, so I could fit a spare tire in the bottom of the storage compartment. Also, the spare could be mounted up under the rear of the trailer to give more room in the storage compartment. There's a lot of possibilities for the right person.
