Tea ??

What is it with the British and their tea.? It always tastes like warm sock water. No bite or substance to it.

We dumpted it at the Tea Party in the Boston Harbor. The good stuff we still keep on this side of the pond.

Hmmm, where to start?

The usual problem is that people who don't drink tea, don't know how to make it. 'Hot' water is not hot enough - it has to be boiling when it hits the leaves, and then be allowed to 'brew'. There is nothing instant about it.

So, that rules out vending machine offerings and the majority of cafeteria sales where typically, the hot water is put in a cup and the teabag served still wrapped!

Well made, a cup of tea is refreshing and stimulating in a good way. There used to be an advert for a particular brand (can't remember which) which ran something like - 'the cup that cheers but never inebriates'.

Milk and sugar for me please

Interesting stuff, Jampot.

I remember reading someplace that Tea (regular tea, not some of that "fluffy" stuff) actually has a higher Caffeine Kick than Coffee.

Oh man, don't let Mrs Duck see this!!!
That darling woman is a serious tea drinker, and after all these years of wedded bliss, I STILL don't mess with the Mrs. till AFTER her first cup of tea in the morning!

and a good thing I'm at work while I type this!

You can call me wired if you want but I drink one, maybe two cups of coffee during the AM … but I gotta have a hot cup of tea every night before going to bed.
Been doing that since the early 70’s.

I did it once. For the life of me, I cannot remember why. Must have been in my youthful days when drinking 'til 3 or 4 and realizing I had to go to work in a few hours.

Yes Mr Duck is quite right

He even knows that if I do not have enough of something do not argue just go get what I need if you value your LIFE ( and want me to cook breakfast in the am

The water must be boiling hot otherwise why bother on the hot tea.

Sun tea is the best also LOTS OF ICE NICE AND COLD During the summer I drink it by the gallons

Hot Tea must burn all the way down God is that good I drink tea morning noon night and anytime in between You can have your FUFU coffee from Starbucks Just give me my TEA

The sign in my kitchen says SIT LONG TALK MUCH DRINK TEA WITH ME

I would love to taste a tea that wasn't "FU FU" and had some taste to it. I think that is why the Americans threw the stuff into the Harbor, they couldn't drink it.

If things go as planned, we may be your new neighbor. We are trying to get an offer accepted in Tahachapi. If you visit, and give me ample warning, I will have tea ready for you. It might be a sun tea as I am not sure how to boil water.
