Twinkies anyone?
You know the news guys, why tell the full story when you can do a catchy sound bite instead. $75 asking price for a box of twinkies on Ebay. It's extremely likely that someone will buy the rights to make Twinkies from the bankrupt Hostess.

I dunno. Little Debbies or Tastykakes don't last as long.

I always wanted to try one of those deep fried twinkies.

I preferred the Drakes Ring Dings instead.
Problem is... Drakes was a Hostess brand too.

It is a very sad day, especially for the now out of work employees (536 in my home town of Emporia, KS) and 850 in Lenexa. I think a concession (less pay & higher insurance would far out way no job in today's lack luster economy. But don't worry the government will take them and increase the 47%.

Hostess, union agree to mediation to avert shutdown - Dallas Business Journal
There may be hope for Twinkies after all. Several potential suitors to take over the brand have also emerged including the Mexican baking company, Bimbo Group, which also that owns Sara Lee and Entenmann’s.

There's 18,000 jobs that could be saved if it can be worked out.
Plus, we could still get our Twinkies!
