Now that was a good game. Poor Farve giving it away again. I like the Saints in the Super Bowl but may be wishful thinking... Just really dislike the Colts and that robot Manning but the Saints' defense may not be up to the air attack. After 40 years of misery....CONGRATS SAINTS!....

I wasn't really sure who I ws hoping for in this one. New Orleans was due for a party and Favre deserved so much credit for his accomplishments this year. Sorry to see him throw that interception but they lost it as a team with 5 (I think) turnovers. Favre threw some great passes into some unbelievably close coverage. And he is going to be very sore tomorrow from all that hitting the turf!
Should be a good game with the Colts but New Orleans better have gotten their playoff jitters out of the way in this one as they were fortunate to come out with the win.
The Vikings left 3 TD's on the field.

Game of inches and turnovers. The bigger story now is of course Archie Manning and his legacy at the Saints and now his son coming in and playing them. I do miss the old days before free agency and staying at one team most of your career. It's amazing that he only managed one best 8-8 team over his playing career but put up numbers that kept him employed..
I wonder which team he will cheer for?.... the team he could never manage to get a winning record or for his son. Very cool that both of his sons ended up as NFL quarterbacks. What's the odds of that?
Remember images on TV like the ones below? Great to see the Saints break through.
You're right Cash, the five turnovers were killers for the Vikes. Read this morning that Favre, while never sacked, took 17 hits. Maybe that's why he threw the ball instead of running into field goal range??

Well, he rushed for 7 yards this entire year.
I think it might be like me trying to leg out a single these days.
I wouldn't want to try out of sheer embarassment!
I doubt if running the ball would have entered his mind,
but the number of hits he took had to affect his judgement on getting rid of the ball.

That's a pretty tight family. We've seen Peyton cheering for Eli and vise versa in the game yesterday.
Players move from team to team but family is forever and Archie will be cheering for Peyton.
Are they the greatest NFL football playing family ever?

Without question the greatest ever. I mean both sons not only start on a NFL team but both won super bowls!.....just crazy lottery odds of that ever happening and will never happen again.
