VIN number

By using the VIN number, how can I tell when my 05' was build. And was it the 52 nd or 95th one built?.........docrod

There's an app for that

Submit your VIN to this thread, and you'll get everything you want to know - Build Sheet Requests

All SSR VINs are sequential; the last five digits of your VIN will tell you where yours fits in the production range.

You might also want to check out this thread VIN number decoding to learn a bit about how to read the VIN on your truck and other GM vehicles of similar vintage.

My crystal ball tells me you bought it from Daytona Motors in Daytona Beach with approximately 21k miles on it.
It also thinks yours was born 9/29/2004 but doesn't know for sure.

A build sheet will confirm the date but if anyone is looking after that thread these days it is not with any regularity.
You are #15,879 out of 24,112 regular production SSR's.

Well you do have a birthday coming up soon for sure but don't count on celebrating on the 29th just yet.
Honestly it could as easily be the 30th as they are on either day all around your VIN.
The only way to know for sure is the Build Sheet as the VIN doesn't give that info.
Unfortunately, I don't have your build sheet to confirm which day.
