I'm covered with break dust from cleaning the rims....a cold bottle of wine is chillin in the fridge compliments of LT SSR and I'm gonna order pizza Then I'm gonna chill.....and wait for someone on here to make me laugh
Need some cheering up!
Ok here is one. Don't take so many Breaks while cleaning the Brake Dust off of your Wheels.
Dang I'm a Smart AZZ.
Man I wish I knew about this Break Dust when I was Working.
Reminds me of Cheech and Chongs Christmas Story on how Santa got down the Chimney. A Little bit of Magic Break Dust here and a little more there.

The wine and pizza should cheer you up! Is the pizza there yet? Thats makin me hungry.
We just made it home a little over an hour ago. We log in just under 4,000 miles on the SSR this last two weeks.
I think I'll stay home this weekend and relax.

That is going to be my next thing to test. It shows as "ambient switch" on my wiring diagram, but I did track the green wire from the clutch connector back to the pressure switch on the evap box. It's definitely been repaired in the past. The wire has a few splices in it, though done well (soldered and heat shrink over them).[QUOTE]
Something made me think of an in-line fuse/sensor or something on the passenger side wheel well. It's about half way between the rad and the firewall, upside down (normally). Would be flat rather than tubular. May even look like a fusible link.... too many years ago !

There's a fuse on the orange wire from the main relay junction above the brake booster that goes over to the relay on the evap box. I checked it and it's OK. I do have power to the blower motor and according to the schematic, that's where its power comes from.

Yup ! I wish I was there to help him. I completely rewired my 1979 ELKO.

Here's the wiring diagram I have. So far, it's been right on with my car.
There's really only 2 things left that could be causing a lack of power at the compressor - the pressure switch and the compressor switch inside the dash control panel. The vast majority of the traces on the schematic are for the blower motor speed circuits.

You are correct. That wire feeds the A/C / Heater Speed Switch that is diverted through three resistors that drop the Voltage for the various Fan Motor Speeds. The Resistor Array is Mounted near the Motor on top of the Evap. Housing. Two small Screws and it come right out. High Speed is not diverted through the Resistors.
It is now confirmed I will not consider moving to Texas
Don't blame you. While we were up in Rockwell, TX for two days, it was something like 105 in the shaded backyard .... way to hot for a summer BBQ in the back yard.

Did you try and Jumper across the Pressure Switch Leads ? That should energize the Clutch even if the pressure is low. If it doesn't, apply 12 Volts directly from the Battery to the Clutch Power Lead. If it does not engage then the Clutch will need replacing, or the whole Compressor. I bought one at Kragen for $ 120.00.
