Why is everybody selling?
Well, maybe not everybody...but it seems every other post/thread has been about someone else selling their and selling their accessories seperately...especially folks you would never expect to do that...what am I missing here?
I was thinking the same thing too Randi.
We can't be doing the same thing forever...
Life is exciting when we try new adventures every now and then. Just wait until the new Comaro comes out and I’ll bet we'll see a big change here.

Can't believe I would be the only one to add to what I have in the driveway rather than to sell it off and I'm always getting something new but the is more than a vehicle, its friends, a lifestyle, a party........................new Carmaro...not here

I think that some owners buy new often, and some have owned their SSRs for a while now. Mine is a "drive the wheels off" while maintaining it, then sell only if the kids pass on the SSR as a gift. I usually sell the "appliance" cars and keep the fun ones, but I live on a ranch, so my space if limited only to my wife's tolerance of my being an autoholic.

I buy new every 2-3 years and hubby says I have to stop doing that or I will never be able to retire but that's why we have an 02 LS, 04 SSR, and an 06 Stang...if I just HAVE to have something else, either the LS or Stang will go

Since this is your Thread, just when are you planing on retirement.

Yeah, I have been wondering the same thing. Do they know something that we don't??!!
I originally planned to buy an SSR and only keep it for about two years...but now I have spent the six months that I have owned my SSR wondering how I can afford to replace my old truck (Sonoma 4wd) and still keep my SSR !!!!!!!!

My SSR will NOT leave my hands!! Might add a new Camaro to the stable, but the SSR isn't going anywhere! I can't even fathom someone else driving Jewel. Nope, not gonna happen!
I must confess that my real concern with all these recent sales is that I do not currently have the money to spend on more SSRs. It is nice to have a spare, or two, you know. Now, here these folks are, selling SSRs that I would love to buy, but I can't buy them !! I need to win the Lottery.

I'll probably get other vehicles but the SSR is a keeper. I know a lot of people that are always buying and selling hoping to drive some of everything in their lifetimes. But, I know what I like.

Selling SSR's
I looked for 20 months to find EXACTLY my '06 Redline. I can't imagine selling it!! It's one of my retirement toys, so I expect to have it at least 5 more years plus!!
If need be, I sell other cars first, not my SSR!
Funny, over the weekend... Had a discussion about people selling their SSRs... and I came away from the conversation with the idea there are two basic types of people.. those who keep cars/trucks for a long time & those who want to buy the next thing once they are bored. Not that there is anything wrong with that... But I am not one those types... I keep & love my cars/trucks usually for years... It's a love affair... for me. And I am soooo loving my SSR!

It is sad. I bought a new car every 3 years forever. Told myself that I wanted to buy one and keep it instead of making car payments forever. Think I have found it..hope I don't change my mind.
I need a supercharger... Can we take up a collection?
I've always been a car freak. I've got a few collector type cars, among them are a '55 Chevy 2-door, 210 that I bought from the original owner 22 years ago and a '91 Acura NSX that I am the second owner of. Both of these cars have been absolutely reliable since the day I bought them. I can't see myself selling either one. The SSR, although a ton of fun, scares me a bit as far as quality. The warranty just ran out, and I had a lot of warranty issues. That alone makes me think of selling it at some point. The resale prices I am seeing aren't very encouraging though. It may be "cheaper to keep her".
Not in my forseeable future to sell mine. Honestly, I can't say that about previous cars, and I have had over 60. I can't quite put a finger on my attraction to the SSR. I just enjoy it and plan on keeping it.

Fact is, people's focus changes from time to time. I've got a '52 GMC pickup, a '55 Olds Rocket 88, a '63 Olds Starfire (cherry), a '71 Chevy Blazer, an '00 GMC Yukon, an '06 Hummer H2, an '05 SSR and an '06 SSR.
I've pretty much lost interest in all but the Hummer and the SSR's. All the rest are for sale to the right person.....
Oh yeah, and I have a Camaro ordered, whenever they become available.....

If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself. BIG THANKS on the gears. I can't wait to get them installed.
