Calendar

I am testing an events calendar.

SSR Fanatic Calendar

Let me know what you think.
Looks like you have to hit "More Info" link in order to get a map.

If you want me to add an event, post with this info:

1) Event Name
2) Event Date
3) Event Location (use maps.google.com to verify address)

Looks nice. Could you add a "year" tab? Or at least a previous month and next month view.

Look at this one and see if you like it:

MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - North American Motoring Calendar

I cannot.
This is a Google calendar and so far, what you see is about all I can do.

I thought I could make the calendar orange (because it's orange for me), but it looks like it's blue for everyone else.

I've also found 3 bugs in the software already!
When it gets out of Beta, maybe there will be more options.

I don't want to put birthdates on there as I think that is why the current calendar is sooooooo hard to read...well that and the fact that it's text based instead of graphics!

I sent an PM to dascrow to see if they want to incorporate it into this site though, so it will be accessible like any other forum.

If he does do that, then maybe we could make a SECOND calendar which we could put birthdays onto, but it won't be that easy.

IMHP, One calender is all we need. PERIOD!! Beside you, who else is having trouble reading the current calender? I don't have a problem.
Don't you remember the BIG fiasco over the forum change we want though with all the new changes.

Well...you do bring up a good point.....I didn't ask everyone on the site whether the current calendar is good enough. I have had plenty of people besides myself ask if the calendar could be improved visually.

Once I find out from dascrow whether it's possible to integrate a calendar, I will post a poll and ask everyone. If it turns out that people would rather keep what is there, then I will just maintain this other calendar on my own.

As for birthdays, I think it may be possible to have one calendar with a select box, one for events, one for birthdays and you can see just events, just birthdays, or both at the same time. We shall see.

So....how's the calendar going?

I've tried to enter each event as it's announced now.

I had NO idea that SO many things were going on.....just doesn't register until I see it on the calendar.

I have not heard anything back from dascrow yet.....once I know what can/cannot be done, I will post the options in a poll and see what everyone else wants to do.

I can't read it.
It doesn't get maintained.

But don't worry, I am NOT planning on removing that calendar anytime soon.

Did I get the wrong date or something?
