Ok....these are the 4 I'm going to test.....(unless someone else finds one)

If anyone CAN NOT use one let me know.
I CAN NOT use #1 with IE6.

#1 and #4 have the most changable interface.
#3 I can't change anything at all....

Once I know which ones work for everyone...I will work on the way they look....

ok....

If you have any changes that you think HAVE to be made to one of the Chat Boxes above, put the following:

1) Box number 1-4
2) Current problem...(ie. box is too narrow)
3) Specific solution...(ie. make box %50 wider)
4) Any comment....

I will TRY to change the boxes with the suggestions, BUT as soon as I get 2 conflicting ideas...(ie. box should be blue and box should be red), I won't make the second change, unless you give me a good reason.

ONCE we have picked ONE of these boxes, then I will try and make ALL the mods to make it easy to use....

#4 looks good with the larger font, but you have to scroll up to see or read a new post and then scroll down to post. (also #1 )
The way #3 works is better but #4 larger font is great.

Check the times, you have a clock problem with #4.

Thanks for the info. I can NOT change the time...I guess it gets the time from whereever the chat code is hosted. And even if I could change the time it could only be in ONE time zone....so 2 time zones would have the wrong time anyway. I can probably REMOVE the time if it is too distracting.

You must have your screen set up for lower resolution if you can't see the whole box....I will try and "flip" the "entry box" or the message post order....I am more used to new messages appearing on the top than on the bottom, so I will try to do that.

ANYONE have an opinion as to whether NEW messages should appear on the top or bottom?

I think I will go with #14 size Fonts....

I can have the new messages enter from top or bottom

I can NOT move entry box. It remains on the bottom.

I can change delete time (right now it gives you 30 seconds to delete your message)

I can have the new messages enter from the top or bottom
I can change # of posts to 14 or 10
I can show date or not (I just turned it off)
I can set the AUTO REFRESH time from 20secs to 60secs (others don't mention auto refresh...)
This one has the most smilies....and I think I can even ADD more!
(well...I added it to the their site, but didn't translate to here yet.)

THIS is still the box I like the most....
