It took me 5 days (spare time) just to figure out how to post this message. Is there someone out there who can help me interact with this web site.
I've went 42 years without a computer, and even though I have one now it still has no appeal to me.

Hi there 1luckydog! Welcome to the forum and your new activity of interacting with a lot of helpful folks.
Computers are not as scary as they seem to be...the best thing to do is to just keep plugging along and not worry about messing up. You'll get the hang of it in no time. Its possible there is another fanatic close to you that can help as well.

I'd like to add a picture(s) & more info to my block but don't have a clue.
Pictures are limited by size. If you make a post and scroll down past the "Submit" but you will find a button that says manage attachements in the box labled "additional options". You should be able to make any of your pictures comply by using the edit feature of the Microsoft Photo Editor whcih, I hope is still there in Vista. Good luck and hoping to see some pix soon.
PS. Welcome to the group from those of us out here in the smoky Left Coast.

Welcome.
Before you think about attaching pictures, you need to be a supporting member. Take your time and learn all the ropes about using the computer/internet before you worry about being a supporting member.

Reason: Deleting e-mail address!
without being a supporting member, he won't be able to learn everything
That not TRUE Ms.
She/he is new to using a computer so she/he needs to learn all the in and out of computer use. Why waste $25 now when she/he not even sure he/she can deal with all the dot com stuff. In a couple of weeks or so, then I say it a good time to be a supporting member
She/he can still learn ton of stuff from us without being a supporting member.

Welcome to the forum!
A few suggestions:
If you don't want to get spam emails from every passer by in the world I'd recommend not posting your email address for everyone to see.
One handy tip that evades a lot of newbies is you should click on the Active Topics on the tool bar of the forum. That will allow you to read previous active topics for up to the last two weeks.
Also, the Search is a good tool to look for topics about things you are wanting to know about.
Hang in there and click on everything to see how it works. You can do it if you put your mind to it!

Don't EVEN want to know why they call you fuzzy batman. But it would be cool to see what a bat in place of your grill bowtie looks like.
