Help Help Help

OK, I know everyone else can do it --- I see the results --- BUT --- no one has splained to me (with detailed instructions) how I can do it. Again, I am just a Senior Member (not a Supporting Member) so I don't have the nice little feature at the bottom of my post that says "attach photos". I know you have to put your photos in something like photo bucket and then do something else. Obviously, I did something incorrectly. Could someone send me some detailed instructions------------------------PLEASE. I want to post pix of my el Camino to see if anyone is interested in buying it or trading for an SSR.

Dumb and Dumber here

I'm going to try and post a picture. Every time I've tried this before, the size is too big and it flunks the size test. Let's see now (I'm following Marc NY's instructions.........)

OK - FAILED again - my jpeg file is too big. I know I ned to resize it to be a maximum of 976k or something like that - but how do I do that?

Do you have any type of photo shop program on your computer? If you have a PC, then I'm sure you have Microsoft Picture it! photo program or something like it ...

When "Saving As" a file, you'll see A "Options" button, click that and you'll see "Image dimension", click that and you'll be able to re-size your picture from that function.
Try a couple of size setting until you get the hang of it.

Testing.....AGAIN

I probably have something at home - but here at the office - I doubt it. But I did find a few pictures that I had loaded on my live.com albums that may make the grade - they are smaller images.....let me try this - but THANKS for the suggestion about the photo editing software - I'll check it out tonight at home.

WOW!!! It looks like MAYBE I actually got them uploaded. We'll see when I try to send this.............. WOW!! WOW!! when I did a Preview - the pictures actually made it onto the preview screen. Let's give it a try..

Photo Success!!

THANKS Run Rod Run...all I needed was a little more directions - and to read Marc NY's instructions several more times again. Plus having some images in the 1200 x 800 size range. Now I'll check out the photo shop software at home tonight.

before you go out buying PC goodies, check your camera. Some of today digital toys have built in programs where you can edit your pictures. I know mine did but I've never try using it.

Here's a simple "cheat" method that may help, NMR . . .

Try e-mailing the picture to yourself. The system will offer to size the picture before sending. Just accept and once you receive the photo, it will be resized.

Good Luck.

I didn't know that.

Are you sure it not a "Mac" privilege type of thing.

Talking How bout some of the others boSSRod?

Gotta love a Right click of the mouse, then a click on "Properties". Shows you the path of any linked pic.

Nice looking Camino there boSSRod.
