Powder coat

I was wondering if anyone has any info on Powder coating the original brake calipers?. I like the look, but do not want the expense of a totally new brake set-up.Thanks---TOM.

Another Williamsburg SSR Fanatic

Hey Chopper,
I just moved to Williamsburg. I live off Longhill Rd. If you see a Pac Blue with chrome around town it's me. Maybe we can get together one evening. I've been to the Saturday cruise in at the Hampton Bass Pro Shop a few times since I've been here. It's be nice to have a few more SSR's there.

Epoxy vs. Powder Coating

I did mine with the epoxy caliper paint kits and they really look nice. Powder coating would require a complete disassembly so the powder can be applied and baked at 400F in an oven. The epoxy can be applied without fully removing the calipers. You can leave them connected to the brake lines.
