First, you can only place a link to a movie file. So if the movie resides on another site like YouTube, you can place the link here.
If that didn't help enough, I would find a post with a movie link in it and "quote" the post. You should be able to see the "code" that creates the link insertion into the post.

I am sorry that I just don't have to time to look everything up for you.
I think Focks has a bunch of posts with movies, you might be able to PM him.

I did it before but it has been a long time. I think you have use something like Photo bucket, post the movie there and then post a link to it.
