tires

wow may i say i am really psyched about owning this SSR. i've wanted one since they were introduced and now i got it. its an 04. i would like to find some news or tips about the sizing of the tires and wheels and what is out there. has anyone tried different sizes on the front and rear per say. maybe im trying to overthink what i want to accomplish. if you rotate your tires often you get longer life and better ride. i probably cant put 20s on the front because of the stance that it has but im going to check the characteristics of putting the 19s on the rear. if it works out then ill put 19s all the way around. ill loose width but i can compromise and gain with better tire and size combo. the dealer can reconfig the comp to read mph correctly for about 150 bucks. im just asking around to see if anyone else has tried &what they did or did not gain or loose.

The 19" OEM tires are much less expensive than the 20s. Do a search under tires and you will get plenty of info.

I've seen Fanatics put the same size all around from 17" to 22"...you will lose most of the stance.

CONGRATS and WELCOME, Tator . . . from Southern Arizona.

Not exactly what you're asking but I recently upgraded to General Grabbers UHPs (one size taller 255/50R19 and 295/45R20) on the OEM wheels.

Definitely an improvement in handling plus they look better.

There is more to look out for than the Rotation Speed of the Tires. There is the ABS and the Traction Control to deal with. Do a Search on (Tires); there must be a Hundred of them. But you will learn the Do's and Don'ts.

By the way Welcome to a great Forum.
