it slides in the bed runners from front to back. you lock it in place with the hand screws showen in the picture of the back

My SSR:

that looks great. I use a couple Rubbermaid Under-bed storage totes (low sides, no lids). That way I pull in onto the tailgate to load and unload, then just slide it back in. Very handy and stuff doesn't go rolling around. Plus if anything should spill, it's inside the Rubbermaid.
Didn't work too well last month when we hauled a 400 lb marble horse though smashed it all to hell, but it did help to slide it and possibly saved the carpet Got new ones now.

I did something similar, but not as fancy. Works good and is also moveable. Legs are attached with Velcro to the carpet. Folds down when you undo the bungee.
