Thanks for the time and effort involved in bringing this section to the site. I have one request related to postings in The Heritage Center:

Can they be formatted as a standard screen size instead of the wide screen. I have looked at the sticky threads in all Forums and some are fine but others are wide screen and become a real problem to read, involving shifting the screen from left to right for each line read. In the distant future I am sure all computers will have wide screens, but for now I am sure that there are many of us who do not. If I shrink the page to fit my screen then the type becomes too small to read.

Thanks for at least listening and looking at this issue.

Bluestreak, please provide a couple examples of the threads that require the scrolling for you and we'll take a look. We tried to be careful about this in the set-up but must have missed a few. My bet is those that are problematic have pictures in them that extend across the page -- two to three pictures centered some times causes problems depending on the resolution setting you're using on your computer. Thanks for flagging it!

These two are the real offenders. There are others on the production year Forums but they are such that if centered you only lose the left column infomation like who posted and such.

From Concept to Reality

The Signature Series: Overview

thanks for the quick attention.

not on my screen dwight...I am viewing on a laptop 15.4". No side scrolling needed and I can read all the letters without my readers.

Check your screen resolution and increase it to eliminate the horizontal scroll.

I misinterpreted a note from Jay thinking this was all going live tomorrow. I'm a day late (and a dollar short) per usual. I was referring to all the threads I saw Jay posting over the last few days for each Signature which I assume will detail the information you have been amassing over the past number of years.
Wow, lot of stuff to go through Jay. Looking very impressive.

Signature 7 says "This is great!" and me too. Looking forward to reading more on all the special SSR's out there and adding all the goodies that I have on #7.

Thanks to all that have worked on this.

I guess we now know why Jay has been so quiet the last few months.
This section looks like it took a lot of time and effort to construct.
You did a great job Jay.

I wonder what section I will be posting in?

Two tones?

Actually, Charlie, I think you'll have a really nice spot when the Pace Truck section gets done.

concept/prototype

The concept production intent vehicle was built, Does anyone have knowledge of the companies involved? If anyone is interested, I will try to get some of the information!
Doug

I believe one fo those companies went out of business in the last 2 years due to the economic climate! Auburn Engineering played a large part in the Fascia development!

Defintely interested Doug! Any help/information you can provide on this would be great.

As I understand it, GM Design Center's prototype shop built the show (concept) truck -- this info. comes from the Witzenberg book. The "Production Intent" truck (below) was built by ASC, with oversight from the team of ~10 GM employees assigned to oversee overall design and engineering of SSR. Knowing which suppliers worked with ASC/GM along the way would be great detail to document.
