Avatar Upload Problems
Since the site took on a a new look I have been having trouble uploading avatars. If it's a jpg no problem but if its a gif sized correctly it won't upload as an avatar. Tells me the file size is to large But it's sized correctly I don't get it????? What gives?????????
and i thought it was just me. i tried a new avatar and resized it to 145 x 140 and it wouldnt animate either. the pic would be there but no animation. i found a smaller one and it worked.

There are two issues to size, dimension (ex 600x800) and physical as in how many bits (200k). Make sure that you are using an image that not only meets one but both of these requirements. With some programs you can change the dimension but it keeps the file size nearly the same and also visa versa.
DO NOT use or rely on Microsoft photo editor, resize and expect it to fit, often times this program does not size correctly or to what you think it should.
Make sure that you look at the properties of the image in it's folder an placing your mouse over it and view the popup window to view both the dimensions and size to make sure it is appropriate.
If you do not have a program on your computer to do proper resize there are a number of free programs on the internet that allow you to resize both areas and save back to your hard drive.
