Dead threads

Is there any way to get rid of the DEAD THREADS on this site? It seems that there are are alot of outdated threads with items that are no longer available.
I have one of mine I would like to remove but can't figure out how to do it.

Thanks in advance,
Gary

My 2 cents...
First, if you post something in a public forum, it is ALWAYS available. Whether you delete it or not, it is archived.

Secondly posts, regardless how obscure, may be of use to someone in the future. With any luck people will be permagrinning 100 years from now. There are few things on this site that frustrate me more than finding a post that someone has edited to remove pictures... Porting and polishing threads come to mind. I'm not talking about dead photo-bucket links, but actually editing to remove the picture.

A card laid is a card played...

we must retain all threads, even if at times it doesn't seem to matter.
I figure this might be a thread where you had something for sale. Best idea is to go and edit your first post by placing a big red SOLD on it if that is the case.
I am continually reading old threads and must say I find some fascinating facts and data in the most bizarre places sometimes.
Ingenious hijacking at times!
