help with animated avatar

For some reason, i am trying to add this gif file as my avatar and the picture shows, but I cannot get the gif to animate. I have no problems seeing the animations when i save to my computer. Please help me to add this gif file and see its animation. I have tried all possible formats below with no luck.

I had the same trouble yesterday posting a gif to the avatar area. New system here detects it as too large , even though it is under the size requirements, and posts it as a still shot.

Hmmmm, try these and let me know if they work. I just tried them and they both work for me as an animated avatar

Avatar animations have to be sized 150 x 150 or lower your snoopy is 100 X173 so that's why it won't upload. You can size it on photobuckets too.

thanks to all for the help. i posted this once today but maybe forgot to submit after preview. i have to laugh every time i see a post from doophus. now , with the animation, i laugh even more. !

OK - the smiling pig was bad enough - but now that he's come to life, he's downright spooky to look at.

When I look at your pig, I can't wrap my head around the idea that people get pets that look like them. I think I'll be having nightmares of a smiling pig driving an SSR with the top down.
