Help!... being redirected to...

to this when I come into SSR Forum......
Click here to find out more!

This site is the only one that happens on. I've run several bug programs to find it to no avail. Just started doing this today. It's Circuit City ad with pop-ups.

Can someone help me get rid of this damn thing. I am sorry I am posting here but when I try the help section at bottom of web page, that happens everytime. Thanks!

Well.... I fixed it by deleting many cookies. I haven't bought a SSR yet but if your web site can only be protected by extortion then maybe I will just look elsewhere. The corvette forum isn't run this way. Thanks anyways

You are not being extorted. All voluntary here. I enjoy supporting this site. The info is the best available. I want this Forum to survive. If you do get an SSR...stick around...you'll have fun here and get help with Tech Issues. And you do have to be a supporting member. Good luck.

Arrow All Members are Welcomed

I want to take this opportunity to remind ALL our members here that we on SSRFanatic.com welcome each and every member regardless of their membership status. I personally do not feel that we need to twist somebody's arm or try to persuade them that they should become a paying member in order to be accepted on our great site.

I for one as well as many others on here, have offered help and assistance to everyone and anyone that we can. For me I enjoy making up business cards etc and I also was very proud to be able to have offered those limited edition GM OEM SSR Waterfall badges to every one of our members regardless of their status when they were available.

Yes there are added benefits that do go to those that choose to financially help us by become a Supporting Member and for those great members they get extra privileges. We certainly do need and appreciate all their support too!

I belong to the corvette forum as a lifetime member at $99, but annually it is $25 as it is here.

I enjoy supporting both forums and feel the knowledge I derive from it is well worth the small amount I CHOOSE to pay.

Redirect

I am being redirected to Circuit City as well, it just started this morning and I am a network engineer and no, there is nothing wrong with my computer or browser. We are being hijacked and redirected by a malicious code written into the web site.

Definitely no computer "whiz" here and never claim to be . . . however, no doophus either.

After receiving my renewal notice about a week ago, two or three attempts at the renewal process went "poo poo". After my membership finally expired, I immediately experienced that very frustrating (almost insulting) "redirect" fiasco which never went anywhere but to blank page when I logged on.

Needless to say . . . that forced me to GET OFF MY BUTT AND FIGHT THE RENEWAL PROCESS until I won.

Marc..

I am sure this is a great site and have been only reading it for about two weeks. I've been studying, looking, and learning about these trucks before I make the decision to buy one. I simply don't have this blind love most possess....but possibly after/when I buy one. Everyone I have talked to has been very nice and helpful. I don't think even you expect a novice to just pony up bucks to just read this site PROTECTED from the redirects.

I just don't see how your group thinks these redirects work anyways to pay the bills if you chase away all newbies. I will have no problem joining AFTER I buy a truck but I got to tell ya this leaves a bad taste.

The corvette forum has never strong armed me...even after buying one and read there muchly before I bought one with no redirects or any problems. In fact, until yesterday I never had a problem with this site. Now I see other people experiencing it also. Do what you may but I am off here until I get an email that you have changed your tactics. If I don't..... have a great year and good luck!... Now off to delete even more cookies....sigh

Let me say this ... yes we continue to experience some growing pains since our "new" site owners have upgraded our site's software. We have gotten some new features along with some not-so-great features i.e. advertising links. Obviously, our new owners are doing this to help support and generate extra revenue which is needed to help defray some of the operating costs.

Personally, I have to agree that some of our advertising can be annoying. As a Supporting Member I am glad to be able to disable most of those advertising links that a lot of our regular members have to endure. However, for me I believe it is a small inconvenience to deal with as long as it helps to pay for some of the up keep and allows our site to be able to thrive and survive.

That being said, I believe most of us would not want to lose our great site along with our great group of members. There are so many great members here that have given so much of their free time, talents, advice and technical support which truly helps many of us out. I would like to call this group of super members my extended SSR family.

I do hope that your problems will be short lived and that you will want to stay around and be one of our newest members.

Perhaps Dan "dascrow" can look into some of your issues / problems that you are experiencing and perhaps he will be able to address some of them if not all of your concerns.

Marc
