The Law
I have had my SSR for a year and in that year I have been pulled over three times. I had a Corvette and several RX7's and even a red Toyota and was not bothered by the law. Do any of you have the same problem. Now you ask what did I do to get pulled over and I will answer no more or no less than others around me when the pull over occurred. One officer claimed your truck sticks out like a sore thumb. I would be anxious to hear especially from the red liners.
For some reason I just do not get pulled over. It has been at least 10 years since the last time. I don't speed anymore or anyless than I use to. Except for school zones, I treat speed limits as the minimum.

I have been pulled over twice while in parking lots
Both times the officers asked if it was custom painted and both there comments were ( well at least it will be easy to spot "when" it gets stolen ) I thought it was Funny

I don't think the and attract the same amount of attention as some others in traffic. I was stopped at a red light the other day and happened to look over to see AutoDan in his stopped and then going across in front of me...if he hadn't done that I might not have seen him and I don't think he saw me.
Never been stopped in the ...knock on wood as Linda has and I am surprised, especially with the flamed windows, no front plate, and back solar shade on her.
Ive Never Been Stoped In The Ssr And Its Silver. When I Had It. But On The Other Hand Ive Been Stoped Once In My 3cly Honda Insite Its Blue With Flames. 98 In A 65
I did a squealing fishtail on the left arrow in an intersection when a cop was sitting on the opposite red.
He didn't do a thing about it. He is probably still sitting there thinking "What the hell was that?"

Very interesting, Peter
While on my 1600 miles trip home when I first purchased DOOPHUS . . . I was stopped THREE TIMES in three different states. Since it was brand new, I avoided the freeways and stayed under 60 MPH until it reached 500 miles on the odometer so it definitely wasn't speeding.
Thankfully, NO TICKETS and the troopers apologetically admitted they were curious about the SSR and wanted a "guided tour" . . . needless to say, I was wondering why I decided to buy this "COP" magnet.
Since then . . . only lots of but I always use the Cruise Control to be safe.
Statistics show that yellow cars get stopped more than others, percentage wise, they stop yellow because they notice you more. Follow a line of SSRs and see how easy it is to spot the taxis.

"TAXIS," Smokey?
Maybe a TAXI is better than a HERSE or an AMBULANCE!
Last time, Five-Oh claimed I was going 80, said he caught me using LIDAR.
Funny thing was, I was being passed on the left by a dark blue Ford Explorer at the time, we were going around a slight curve, the Ford was a half car length ahead of me, and the Five-Oh was parked on the right shoulder. I never passed the Ford, kept it ahead of me the whole time, I fell back some from it, and never gained on it. We weren't racing, I just entered the freeway about a 1/2 mile back, and this Ford had been in the other lane, cruisin on through. I stayed out of his lane since I could see he was gaining on me.
Five-Oh pulled behind me, the Ford slowed down to be next to me, and I still got pulled over. I took down the plate number of the Ford and a description of the driver.....
I asked Five-Oh about the Ford, he said he noticed me because I was "going faster than all the other vehicles" around me.
I took him to court. He didn't remember the Ford. He didn't pace me. LIDAR isn't proven in Cali courts. It needs corroborating evidence. I won.
The best part?.....
I was going 85
Now, before any of you fanatics scold me, consider this....
I can drive any plain looking, average car, and not get pulled over, no matter how I drive. I've only been pulled over in my wife's tricked out PT, my SSR, and a friend's lime green '70 Plymouth Challenger. Then I become a cop magnet. My wife can drive anything, including my SSR, she's got a hell of a lead foot, never gets pulled over.
Whenever I'm in a fast looking or expensive car, I automatically get pulled over for DWB.
I have the last laugh, though, I've been pulled over 14 times in the last 4 years, and beat every ticket in court, 'cause I wasn't doing anything wrong, except maybe driving something the cop wished they had..... OK, this last one, maybe I was going a little fast, but the other car was going faster, and the cop probably caught the other guy on LIDAR, but picked on me because I was in the shiny red SSR and the other guy was in the dirty blue Ford POS...
And that's why I'm going to paint my SSR blue.......
