Michelin tires on stock rear wheels??

The previous owner of my 04 put Michelin on the front, but the rears have the original 7 year old tires. From what I read here a lot of you are buying the 315 x35 x20. I found them at our local Costco at a reasonable price but they say their specs say the tire should be put on a 10 1/2" rim and they tell me the stock OEM wheels are only 10", thus they will NOT install them on the rims. Big O Tire has the same tire, will install them, but for $120 more for each tire plus mount and balance.

Anyone one run into this problem?

Will other tire stores install these tires on my rims for a price or am I going to have to do it myself? Brian

Will Costco sell you the tires without installing them? You could take them to a Discount Tire location and they will put them on for you and do a better job of balancing these wide tires. You could also check Discount Tires - Discounttires.com has the lowest prices on tires and wheels, all name brands, and a huge inventory. In most cases, shipping is one to two days guaranteed. and Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels to see what their price is for this tire. What size do you now have on the front?

Nope, some of us have been running that size of tire for years now. My truck is lowered and I tow with it. No rubbing problems.

Alternative SSR tires

So how did they turn out? Pics? I'm thinking of getting a set of Michelins.
