need help with the site

I'm trying to find something that I posted way back when.
When I do a search of my own user name, I can only view 1 to 500 post. How can I go further back to the good old days (2006)?

Thanks, I just did it as you outline and I save the change, but it still only gives me 1 to 500. In other words, I can only go back as far as 10-15-2008.
Maybe tomorrow it will work for me.

I have been trying to do that too, wanted to obtain older info on spare tire installation for a newbie and same as you only got about a year ago... I will standby and see what is posted.....

I just check my postings and it too doesn't take me past my last 500 posts.

However I tried going to all threads that I have created and it does take me back to summer of 04.

How fast does your top drop?

* I know there was an option that we needed to select to go back to our old threads and posts (WOW had figured that one out before) but I don't know why it isn't working now. It is probably a software change ... I will have to ask our newest administrators to find out why the software seems to not allow us to go all the way back to our earliest replies.

But clicked on posting in a thread and only went back to the last 500 posts.
So if you started the thread you are looking for this will take you back to it, but if you just posted in a thread it won't...

IMHO, regardless if it a Post or Thread, we should be able to search for material that goes way back to day one without any problems.
Otherwise, what the point of those tools under "User CP" that JustaBlur posted the other night?

the 500 post limitation has ALWAYS been here.

The search here is limited...but when you go into advanced, you can add things to narrow the number of results OR define the time searched over...

You can Find posts from:
yesterday
a week ago
2 weeks ago
a month ago....
a year ago

You can search in forward date order or reverse.

If you still can't find what you are looking for,
go to Google and put in your search and add

Code:

"site:ssrfanatic.com"

. This will limit your search to just this site.

you can order the search results in one of two ways:
1) from today to 5 years ago OR
2) from 5 years ago to today
