Paypal Only?

Looking at renewing my membership (it comes up next month already) and was disappointed to see that the only option is PayPal. I have no account with PayPal and still get hit with phishing expeditons from the Spam locker. There must be another way. What is it?

Send a PM to the administrator dascrow.
There should be another option, Troy Roberts used to have another option, but you had to PM for it. It is how I did it before I got a paypal account.

You can pay through Paypal by credit card even if you do not have an account. It works like any other Credit card payment

You and other members who don't want to use PayPal or credit cards can send a "snail" mail letter to the new owners, via Dan "dascrow" with a personal check.

NOTE: Make sure you send in your payment at least a week to two weeks in advance of your expiration date because you may loose your Supporting Membership privileges which in turn will reduce the number of PMs allowed in your PM Mail or storage box too.

If you PM me I will be glad to send you his mailing address.

Machell, you can go to your User CP area and then scroll down to Paid Subscriptions area... click on it and you will be able to find out when your membership expires.

Go to 'User CP', then on the left side, under 'miscellanious', click on 'paid subscriptions'. Your expiration date will be in the top right.

Went to update subcription today but get..."do not have permission to access this page..." when I click on the link from the Notice of subscription I got by email. I expected a paypal invoice. Please advise.

Still down and I cant send PM's anymore, also cant start thread. Hope MarcNY sees this...and I tried user - control panel and click on pay and it tells me 'invalid currency'.

That is why you can't PM your in-box is now over the limit. You will have to delete PMs to gain access and then be able to PM again. As far as why your currency isn't valid is beyond my understanding. PM me if you have any other questions or need to get a mailing address to be able to send in a check instead.

Marc, I am not trying to PM. I have been trying to reup the subcription since the notice of expire was sent to my email address, tried for 2 days now. I dont want to reduce the stored pm's to under 100 to pm you. I have a lot of valued comunications stored here and would have to erase over 700. I want to use my paypal account. Nothing from DASCROW and WOW tried so I put this problem in your hands. Please advise.

Thank you Marc. The check for 1 year is in the mail. I was going to do the Lifetime membership but the Forum computer wont allow me to do so. Needed to use the Paypal charge account for the lifetime membership. At least I can still keep my saved communications. what does 'Invalid Currency' mean anyway, I wasnt using bottle caps!

Paypal is the only way to buy online

As a side note, there isn't anything I can do except give out the mailing address if someone wants to mail a check (I just got the address).

Unable to use Paypal became an annoyance, I seldom use paper checks - have gone to E banking etc. John and Marc are terrific moderator's and I know its not their doing that the Forum is so slow, poor callup of Search items and now the refusal to take Paypal. Amazing all the ads I was exposed to. Some Adware was quarantined by Symantec antivirus and I wonder what that was about?

Can you do me a favor and visit the site without logging in and see if you still get quarantines?

If you do, can you give the specifics?

I have tried it at work and don't see anything.
I will try it at home with a different anti-virus checker.

Still being blocked from some services and still cant increase membership etc...still says 'invalid currency'. LOL

I sent in pictures of the page(s) with a letter describing problem to the address given to me by MarcNY. Been 3 MONTHS and still no correction. Real impressive response to continued problems

Hello Moderators:

I too am in the same position as some of the folks above: I received an e-mail notice that my supporting membership was about to expire. I replied back promptly asking for the address and payee to whom I could send a check (I renewed this way last year as well). I have not received a reply but the next day I saw that my membership is downgraded, my mailbox is full, and I cannot send PMs. Can you advise how I can obtain the name of the payee and address so I can send a check and restore my supporting membership?
