Picture posting
Can anyone help with posting pics?? I have done it before but things appear to have changed now and I have tried all four formats in photobucket and no luck (check my post in Test Forum)
I want to show off our new 5" Bosal tips and a sound clip as well. Please help.....
I used to be able to just click on the insert image (above) and then copy and paste the link. Is there a new way of doing this???

The way I have been able to do it is by "reply" to a previous post. There must be another way. I need to send pictures as well but am not certain as to how it is done. ARTSMART seems to know allot about computers, maybe they will see this and help.

Clueless in Conroe.
I don't know about this John but I do know what I know The most common reason someone has problems uploading images from their computer is the image size is too large. I shoot in the largest format possible on any digital but re-size everything I want to post to the web. Some photo software has a category just for this purpose but simple resizing works just fine. Just make sure the jpeg file is no larger than 1500 on any one side for this site.
I personally do not use an internet photo hosting site so can't help anyone there.

vavoom, you said you are using Photobucket's links (which I use too) while you were also trying to use our site's Insert Image Icon in the upper reply area to post your image(s). However, when using Photobucket's links and then trying to use our Moutain Icon to insert your images... that will automatically add an extra http: & IMGs into your photo weblinks which will then cause an error. That photo will not be able to show up and only a red X will appear. To fix that error you will need to go back in the link's posting and remove the extra [http:] and [/IMG] verbiage to get your photo image to then show up. BTW: There is a much easier method to use when you are using Photobucket as your main linking source for posting images onto our site.
NOTE: If you are using Photobucket as your linking source then all you have to do is just copy the Image link and then directly paste it into the body of your reply. There is no need to use the Insert Image or also known as the yellow mountain icon in your reply area. Once again if you use the Icon "Insert Image" you will then paste more information than you need to have and your image will not show up at all except for a red x.
1) As illustrated in the example below...
2) Below is a direct copy & paste from the Photobucket website:
3) You can see below how Photobucket allows you to copy the whole link and also inserts the http: and IMG brackets that are needed on our site to be able to post images properly.

We have been using 640 X 429. Not realizing or thinking that we could send larger jpeg I might try 1500 X 1500.
I might send you something as a test to see what arrives on your end.

unless the original image is square the 1500x1500 will likely tweak the image...in the re-sizing area put 1500 in on the longest side and let it compute the other side so it will remain true
