prayer

Fellow Fanatics, Please pray for me. I am very sick and none of the doctors can find out what is wrong. All of the tests show that nothing is wrong. I have had numerous tests and all types of xrays. I have seem several different doctors, The only answer now I know of now is prayer.

I have abdominal pain on the upper right side and severe pain on the lower left groin area. The pain on the right side begins shortly after eating or drinking anything even water. The pain on the left side is a constant stinging sensation, like being bitten by a thousands fire ants.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.

Fran, grimmye sends payers too

Almost sound like Chrons or a version of it. Upper right is large intestine and grion lower left is small intestine. Have you had a colonscopy, that should find something.

http://vsearch.nlm.nih.gov/vivisimo/...hrons&x=68&y=9

Here's a good site for searching. My Daughter-in-law has chrons but it seems to be under control rite now with medication and diet watching.

More prayers comming from gimmye

Pain

We sometimes rely on the ole computer. Go to like yahoo search and type in abdominal pains or what have you and they have forums of illiness just like yours and answers. Give you a starting point and tests maybe that your doctor can run. Sorry to hear about the problem. Get well..

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hida-scan/AN00424

Look into a Hida Scan. Gall bladder trouble does not always mean gall stones. It could be necrotic (dead) and the bile duct is clogged causing the pain along the phrenic nerve. Everytime you consume something, even water, your bile duct is producing a squirt (if you will) of bile to be sent to the stomach to aide in digestion. If that bile cannot get thru, it's painful. Even after a Lap Chole, severe stomach craps along with N/V/D might remain for some time.

It's vastly overlooked by MD's w/ poor diagnostic skills. Don't let them "rule out" anything based on their opinions rather that test results. X rays miss this one as do CT scans & Ultrasounds sometimes. Regular blood tests will not show this. You need a liver enzyme test and cholestoral test. Fasting MUST be done for 12 hours prior. Take the test early a.m., then eat and drink afterwards. "Higher than normal" liver enzymes is indicative of such and does not always mean that you are a heavy drinker as most MD's will attest to. Blocked bilary duct will also cause higher than normal cholestoral readings. After a Lap Chole, they will come down sometimes as much as 40 points.

"The pain on the right side begins shortly after eating or drinking anything even water. The pain on the left side is a constant stinging sensation, like being bitten by a thousands fire ants."

Even though your appendix is on your right side, it can cause left side pain. Possibly several things going on at once?

Good Luck! Don't give up or lose Hope & Faith. One thing at a time, take it day by day and they'll find what's wrong. This is just MY opinion based on your reported symptoms and it's the 1st thing that comes to mind when reading this. I have over 10 years E.R. experience, as well as ICU/CCU/NICU/L&D.

Another thought, it may be a blocked Ureter on the left. CT would pick up a stone if it's there, X-Ray may or may not depending on size. Mine was huge and barely visable on x-ray. CT picked it right up.
