Why is the search function on this website so bad, Its frustrating. i have been forced to use google but even then it doesn’t seem to give me more than 1 or 2 posts. I did a search on search and got 11 plus pages on everything.

I agree, it sucks since the last "upgrade".

are you doing an "advanced search"? or just typing in the box when you click the "search" button?

i found by using the latter, it is completely useless (other forums as well). but by using the "advanced" option, it is often more useful.

Thumbs up Google Site Search!!!

I've given up on Forum Search tools... The one here is no better (or worse) than most out there... I use Google Site Search.

Now, the trick here is that this site will insert a red SSR in place of ":" "SSR" in the string... Go to Google In the search box type sitefanatic.com followed by a space and whatever search terms you want. You can put a phrase in quotes, use + or - to include or exclude words.

Good hunting!

Here is a link to a search for "+ashtray" and "+latch":
sitefanatic.com - Google Search
You can change "ashtray" and "latch" for whatever you want...

The only thing that works for me is patience … lots of patience & hopefully I’ll find what I’m looking.
